Hmmmm. Mu-slime terrorists destroying historical sites because the disagree or are offended by them. Odd that there are certain factions right here in the U.S. that are dismantling historical statues because they disagree or are offended by such. Is that weird or what? Just social just-us libs of a feather.

After two years of occupation by ISIS, much of Nimrud , including what is widely believed to be the worlds first library, has been destroyed, the Voice of America news agency reported [5]. Liberal elites hate the idea of the Southern United States having a 'History' different than the one THEY approve of... This is the same thing... hatred of 'the other'.

Would’ve been preferable for the Iraqi army to have put up a better fight in the first place. They had a massive manpower advantage in that area, yet melted like butter in summer when threatened.

Just a travesty and ISIS is erasing Iraq while the world watches and yawns.
The UN doesn’t care
Europe doesn’t care.
No one in the Middle East cares.
The United States couldn’t care less...
Iraq will shortly be off my bucket list soon, as it will no longer have anything that draws me to it.

It bugs the Muslims that 3,000 years ago the Assyrians were more civilized than they are now. Better destroy the evidence. This is Mohammedville, and always has been!

This destruction was brought to the world by
Clinton, Obama and Rice — all on PCP
during their rape of children (pizza for all).
Disgusting.
Utterly disgusting.

An absolute tragedy! What’s the point of having these international organizations (UN and UNESCO) if they don’t do jack to protect these sites!?!

Well if the u.n. had designated them as world heritage sites they’d be in hot water now. Harsh memo to follow. Along with a truck load of condemnation would teach ‘em a lesson.

Yes, and very sad to see.

Where are the voices of peaceful islam, denouncing and condemning the destruction of their ancestral ethnic origins?

This is the future of Europe once the muslims reach critical mass. And they will, the stupid Europeans made sure of it with their shortsighted and stupid immigration policies, of which this latest “refugee crisis” is just the latest mistake. In a couple of generations, Notre Dame, Versailles, and the Vatican will all be burned by these animals.
To: rktman
They’ve destroyed plenty of World Heritage sites and even the crickets can’t be heard...

In a way, isn’t this what the left is doing here? Talk of moving or tearing down memorials and statues of founding fathers and important historical icons because they are not PC?

Eggs-zacyly what my opening comment was meant to imply. If you don’t like history, eradicate any mention of it. Boom! Doesn’t exist. Therefore, slavery never existed either. Two can play that game.

What really bugs them is anything which might point to the historical non-existence of their so called prophet.
