Correct me if I am wrong, but HUD seems outside his area of expertise.
He’s perfect for SGfar better than Elders.
That was my first thought as well.
But the article said he has very broad interests, which includes this. I would have guessed Surgeon General, but he is competent, honest and he will do a great job, if he accepts.
Not sure how these things work, but maybe once someone knows he’s/she’s being considered for a position perhaps they’re asked if they feel drawn to one post more than another?
Surgeon General or head of the VA would be. I think he turned down the VA.
Because he is an expert neuro-surgeon, does not mean he does not understand the concepts of other areas. The man is a genius and has common sense. He was raised in a low income demographic and excelled to live in a more affluent demographic.
He gets the whole picture, unlike a person who is a community organizer.
It doesn’t need a whole lot to be an expert in HUD. A brain surgeon is over qualified for the job if you ask me. He will make it even better.
It is. The connection presumably is urban and black. I envision him eaten up by a bureaucracy built up by 8 years of Obama.
That was my thought. Carson may be a good pick for Surgeon General and a plausible one to head the Dept. of Health and Human Services, but not for HUD.
