UPDATE, 2:00pm ET: In a meeting with New York Times reporters, President-elect Donald Trump said he would not take the investigations of the Clintons off the table.
Two reporters tweeted from inside the meeting, as Trump also expressed the view that Clinton "suffered greatly" and that it would be "very, very divisive for the country" to prosecute the Clintons.

Leaving the Clinton’s run free mean no one should be investigated for RICO violations, or for mishandling classified information, or for enriching themselves in the process.
Ever.
Thank you, for that. I mean.... really?
LOL!

Trump has nothing to do with the investigation of criminals. His only purpose shall be, when asked, is to appoint a Special Prosecutor.
Well, the way I see it, Trump has always said he likes to keep the enemy guessing. I don`t claim to know exactly where he`s headed on this issue, but I imagine he`s trying to keep the enemy off guard on a number of fronts.
He has to juggle a number of things here, and he has more than just one audience. As others have pointed out, he wants to keep Obama unsure of his plans, so that`s one audience. His other audience is the public, and I think his language is designed to show that he is not being vindictive, will not make this a personal vendetta, and will let the system decide.
The concern trolls & the Hand-Wringers Association of FR will be disturbed by this news.
I want to hurt the Clintons.
They are traitors, thieves, murderers.
If Trump lets them skate he is no better.
They’re not that smart!
Take your horseshit lies and whining elsewhere...
“If so, it tells us something about character”
Reading your numerous cheearleading posts in defense of Megyn Kelly tells me all I need to know about your character, Mr. Nom De Plume. Speak of full of one’s self, you’re giving Obama a run for his money.
Interesting. Thanks very much for telling me because I can’t recall ever seeing “Braveheart,” and now I think I’d better!
It’s up to the FBI and the DOJ on whether they have a case against the Clinton Foundation’s pay to play scheme. Trump does not decide this.
Clinton suffered greatly? No, she did not.
For some reason, Mel Gibson seems to love a lot of blood, so be prepared for that, but it’s really a well-done movie and strikingly like the “anti-establishment” times we’re in. The story itself has some basis of truth but a lot of it is unverifiable.
Let me know how you liked it.
