President-elect Donald Trump will not pursue investigations of Hillary Clinton regarding her email server scandal and the Clinton Foundation when his administration begins, Morning Joe reported on Tuesday.
“A source with direct knowledge of Donald Trump’s thinking tells Morning Joe that in his administration, the president-elect will not pursue any investigations into Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server and the Clinton Foundation,” co-host Mika Brzezinski said to open the broadcast. “The source tells Morning Joe that Trump feels Clinton has, quote, been through enough.”

Congress does not need the President’s authorization to pursue Clinton . . . this way Trump can stay above the fray until such time as he needs to.

Trump will not pursue it - it would be unseemly. That said, he won’t get in the way of his FBI/DOJ if they decide to follow the trails of ongoing/new investigations.....

This trial balloon is being dropped all over the internet and is not going over well with Trump supporters. So yes, my guess is that Trump is being pressured to not go after her.
It is a very bad move on Trump's part if he leaves the illegal things the dems have done during the Obama administration unprosecuted. This is what Bush did and the illegal activity of the dems has just grown to proportions that are truly treasonous. If Trump lets this and these organizations stand then we lose the US once they are back in power.
I disagree that the Clintons are done. They will not get off the world stage and I still maintain that unless Hillary has a serious medical problem, it is not out of the question that she will run again to fulfill her destiny. She will be 73 in 2020 and Trump will be 74. Hillary got the third highest vote total in US history and will win the popular vote by almost 2 million votes. Unless we put a stake thru their hearts, the Clintons will return.
There has been an ongoing investigation of the Clinton Foundation for over a year. We don't know what has been found already by the FBI. How does the WH under Trump stop an ongoing investigation? Isn't that unconstitutional for a President to put his thumb on the scale? Will Sessions go along with this?
Giving the Clintons a pass is not a distraction, it is a capitulation. Hopefully, Trump is putting this out to prevent an Obama pardon. Trump has admitted to having two telephone conversations with Obama since they met at the WH. They may have struck some sort of deal on a Clinton pardon.
He’s given signs he’s not interested in prosecuting them ever since election night, but most Freepers haven’t been listening.
Is it his determination? Trump campaigned against such interference and talked about a rigged system. Allowing the Clintons to walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars and obstructing justice is not the way to start off an administration. If true, this will be a major disappointment and hurt Trump among supporters like me. The Rule of Law is not a distraction.
I am going to write and state that I want Clinton investigated and prosecuted if necessary.
