Police say an Ohio man is in stable condition after he set himself on fire following what witnesses described as a rant about post-election protests.
Akron Police Sgt. Dennis Woodall says the 69-year-old man was wearing a U.S. Marine Corps uniform when he set himself ablaze Saturday morning on a city street.
Witnesses told the Akron Beacon Journal the man had become increasingly agitated after discussing the need to protest President-elect Donald Trump. They say the man had walked into a coffee shop and asked whether anyone knew who had organized a recent anti-Trump protest. They say he then left the store and set himself on fire after he doused himself in gasoline.
The rest of the cousins went target shooting. We didn’t invite them, but perhaps we should.
Oy vey!
Had a visiting minister say to me, "God does say to build walls."
I did my best innocent puzzled look and said, "But what about Nehemiah?"
He got flustered and said, "well, God does not put up walls!"
I turned the innocent look up a notch and asked, "Then what was that He put around Job?"
At that point he turned red and sputtered "that was against the Devil! He doesn't build walls to stop people!"
"So the raiders who killed Job's servants were not people?"
He sputtered, I left before I gave him a coronary. My pastor was quietly having hysterics trying to keep from laughing.
Only if you blindly believed really badly-done polls and didn't pay attention to the early and absentee vote trends.
