5th ave is already one of the busiest streets in the world-I agree that she should go to DC. But young Barron needs to go to school as well and DC options are limited. Tough call for his parents between wasting millions of folks cumulative time v. Family considerations.

A routine will be established. Maybe Mrs. Trump is also offended by living in a location “built by slaves” and instead of yakking about it, is actually doing something by not moving there. The current first lady could have gotten a place at the watergate just down the street. Then again, maybe the Trump’s want Baron to at least finish out the year at his current school. I would expect she would be around on weekends, and for special events, etc.

They had no problem with the Obamas snarling traffic whenever they went to New York, and twice elected him to torture us, so I have no problem with any of the Trumps living in their actual home, or visiting their home. These same whiners voted for Hillary, and would have been happy having the b*tch and her minions tying up traffic.
Obama is staying in DC for his kid and the media never complains about that.

One other thing to consider - having an autistic son, my wife first observed, and then I, watching videos of Barron, that he is possibly on the Autistic Spectrum, maybe Asperger’s. I think as she/they put Barron’s welfare first, it makes sense to keep him at the school where he is well adjusted. Plain and simple.
ALSO - O’bama wouldn’t allow a overhaul of the Oval Office that they had scheduled - would take a year - said to wait and dump it on next CIC.
SOOOOO - the ‘Oval Office’ is supposed to be in temp HQ across the road - So, if she moved into the family quarters of the WH, they’d not even be in the same building for much of the time - and it wouldn’t be that easy to get back and forth across Penns, Av - Easier for Trump to hop a helicopter to NYC?

This is a spectacularly bad decision and suggests that the family does not yet realize that they have stepped into a new reality.
The wealthy normally can get by with minimal security precautions and tend to think of "threats" as being economic. Using money to project force and a team of lawyers is what is normally required for them to win "wars".
Unfortunately, cease and desist orders are highly unlikely to stop terrorists and other foreign agents.
The White House has security measures, in part being physical distance from guarded access points, that make terrorist attacks with conventional weapons and those of agents to mimic those attacks rather difficult.
Melania needs to realize and someone needs to explain to Barron that they are no longer just citizens and are in fact now valuable targets.
By staying in NYC they increase their vulnerability and increase the danger level to surrounding inhabitants as the ordinance required to take out that tower is going to likely be quite significant and create a lot of collateral damage.
The fact that the non hardened target is in NYC only makes it a more valuable terror opportunity. NYers are good about blowing off most events in their city, it doesnt effect their sense of normalcy as events elsewhere in town dont effect their personal lives. When events do occur that shake up the whole community not only to they become hysterical due to the illusion being shattered but, the media makes sure to use the event to destabilize the mental state of the remainder of the nations population.
Yes, Obama has been wasteful of tax resources,has shown disdain toward the American people in his inconsiderate movements, been traitorous in action, and generally been a real penis wrinkle to everyone responsible for his well being. None of that changes that Melania and Barron staying in NY is a foolish idea.
