Future First Lady Melania Trump and son Barron will not be moving to the White House after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, The Post has learned.
The president-elect’s 46-year-old wife and their 10-year-old son are staying put at the family’s glitzy Trump Tower penthouse so that Barron can continue attending his Upper West Side private school, sources told The Post.
“Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” said a source close to Trump’s transition team. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.”
Another source said Melania Trump will travel to the White House as needed, but that her primary focus is on Barron.
“Melania is very supportive of her husband and is fully on board of doing everything that’s needed as first lady,” said the second source familiar with the Trump transition.
That source said also that there is a possibility that Melania and Barron may move to the White House at the end of the school year, but no plans are in place.
“She is really devoted to Barron,” said a source close to the family, adding that Melania has not relied on nannies to raise the child and is frequently seen picking the fourth-grader up from his prep school, where tuition is north of $40,000.
The decision to remain in their Midtown home will increase the security presence around Trump Tower — an effort that will involve both Secret Service and the NYPD, an expert familiar with high-level security told The Post.
“That building is going to become the White House of New York,” said Jim Reese, a former Delta Force commander and president of TigerSwan, a global security company based in North Carolina.

It’s not just childishness. My point was this article is placing the blame on Trump for not using the White House when it’s clear that the White House won’t be ready for him.

Melania worked as a model for many years, she now has her own company designing jewelry and watches, Melania Timepieces and Jewelry. She considers herself a full time mom, juggling the demands of career & family like many of us.
Donald Trump spent $100 million of his own money and underwent a brutal campaign to improve the lives of those struggling Americans. He is committing himself to live with a bulletproof vest and under pressure from all sides to return America to being safe, a place where there is equal justice under the law, adequate care for veterans, job opportunity, and a balanced budget. Not to mention the wall, and immigration reform that will ensure we can stay America rather than be transformed into another failed socialistic state or part of the Global Caliphate.
So why you think you are entitled to sneer at the Trumps, I can’t even begin to guess.

Labeling the president’s son with Autism is not something that a random special-ed teacher should be doing. Of course this is assuming your niece has never met this child or reviewed any testing that may have been conducted by an educational psychologist.
It’s shameful!. But spreading rumors about the Trump family can be entertaining for some.

The article originally posted said Trump would only be living in NYC until his son graduated college attributing his life in NYC as his personal choice. The article failed to mention that the Oval Office is being renovated and will not be available until next year.
Nothing is “off” because a kid is not grinning in a photo! I do not have a single photo of me “grinning” as a child. I was always serious minded and the “smiles” came later in life. I was the most popular girl in school and graduated first in my class. “Grinning” at everything is no qualification for intelligence.
Where is that surprising?
What kid would be happy that their life has been turned upside down in a few weeks? Give him time to adjust. I am glad they are keeping him in familiar surroundings at his age.
Lotsa room tween all those things and the 1/2 of AMERICA that doesn’t have a spare 1000 bucks for emergencies !!

The 1/2 of America who don’t have all those things are the ones Donald Trump is trying to help. He has succeeded and wants others to succeed also by being given the chance. That half of America are the ones who put him over the top to become President.
Although I had a happy childhood, I am not grinning in photos. To me, having my picture taking was boring rather than humorous.
My late husband went to 22 schools in his 12 years. It did inot seem to bother him since he was the most intelligent student in the schools. We sure do miss him and our daughter who died 2 years before he did. Then, add 4 years at MSU.
Who says so? A family does what is right for them. Who knows that they may have made that decision based on safety concerns? After the junk the current occupant has done,they may have inside information plus the threats.
Do you know what time he went to bed the previous night or what time he got up?
