Court order, challenges to vote totals complicate finalizing election results

Raleigh, N.C. — Friday is supposed to be the day when counties across North Carolina certify their vote totals from last week's elections, but that is becoming increasingly unlikely to occur.

Critics are claiming the search for voter fraud is just an attempt to disenfranchise black voters in NC.

""What is happening is a deliberate and precise attack aimed at undermining the votes of African-American North Carolinians," Melvin Montford, executive director of the North Carolina A. Philip Randolph Institute, said in a statement. "The election challenges that have been filed are in areas where we have strong African-American political organizations. Calling these votes into question is an obvious effort to cast doubt on election results with no good reason to do so and disenfranchise black voters."

A mere 5000 votes separates Roy Cooper (D) from Pat McCrory (R). The hope is that the latest votes to be counted (some absentee ballots and some provisional ballots) can make up that deficit.

Only 1000 votes separate the losing R candidates from the winning D candidates in several other important races.

I guess that this is the first dividend of the Trump election that Trump’s voicing repeatedly and remaining on message that voter fraud is real and happening is finally making it OK to recognize that voting fraud is real and that it is impacting elections.

For decades Republicans have said that voter fraud is happening but every time it was brought up the Dims would say it was all minor and that it had no impact on elections and that Republicans were just trying to suppress minority votes.

The Republicans would then cower in a corner and shut up afraid of being called racist.

Finally someone did not obediently cower before the race baiters and stood up and called out the fraudulent votes. Now that it has been shown that you can point out the fraud and win big. Now it has been shown that you don’t have to cower in a corner when you have been called a racist, bigot and homophobe. Now it has been shown that the masters of the politically correct are emperors with no cloths.

Trump has shown that when the truth is shown to the people and it is on your side you can stand tall, proclaim it and the people will follow you.

In my experience in IL most vote fraud is in the primary and not in the general election. And most vote fraud is in local races where the vote fraud can actually make a difference.

Most vote fraud is not ideological. Many politicians control jobs and contracts with private firms. The recipients of those political favors must deliver the vote for their sponsor in order to keep their checks coming.

I submit the the highest percentage of vote fraud occurred when the Jesse Jackson/Push and Obama/Beavers/Stroger factions of Chicago politics fought each other for Alderperson of a Chicago Southside ward. The vote fraud was so high because both sides were engaged in it Bigly.

If anyone is serious about vote fraud, the need to look beyond presidential races and presidential general elections.
