I can’t in a million years imagine Trump picking Romney as his Secretary of State. But that seems to be preferred spot of local/regional pols (Haley or Romney as former guv, Rudy as mayor) to burnish their political resumes.

This must be a specific request of Romney’s, so it is reasonable that Trump in reconciliation mode has agreed to meet.

IMO there is no way in this universe that Trump picks Romney for this role.
