Trump is lowering taxes, so I’m not sure what you are addressing.
Corporations are getting big tax breaks. The middle income on down are getting tax breaks. I have yet to see a figure on the top brackets.
The other day Trump said everyone was going to get a tax break, so I can’t say yet what is going on with the upper bracket.
Putting people back to work increases government receipts. Part of those receipts will probably wind up in the hands of Paul, but who is being stolen from?
It is reasoned for there to be taxation. As long as it is moderate, I’m certainly not complaining.
We need to pay down the debt. He plans on it. That is Conservative.
I do agree that in some ways these moves may hearken back to a better time in the Democrat party, but that was so long ago that it becomes rather disrespectful to avoid calling it Conservatism now to deflect to a period most folks do not remember or fully understand.
Trump is a good man and he deserves 100% of the credit due him for even proposing these things. And what’s more, he will follow through.
How long has it been since we could use that phrase?
I’m addressing ideological conservatism which looks at the question solely from the standpoint of “what we WON’T do.”
However the Donald specifically said make America GREAT again.
Donald isn’t going for faux generosity — which situation is 100% compatible with the facts. The SOCIETY should have room to be generous, which means the GOVERNMENT should take only what it needs, sparingly.
And what’s more, God — not Donald — deserves 100% of the credit. Donald, if he does not come out of this a humble man pointing to factors far larger than himself, will have failed in the end.
