Ford is right about this. The issue isn't that they're moving these operations to Mexico just to save a buck and make the company more profitable. The issue is that these companies have to sell a certain number of these compact cars just to meet their Federal fuel efficiency standards. And if they build a car like the Ford Focus here in the U.S., the thing gets so expensive that buyers decide they may as well pay just a little more for a mid-sized Ford Fusion instead ... which means they have to sell even MORE Focus models just to meet those EPA standards.
This is exactly what's happening here, folks.
So did you vote for Trump? If so you are a hypocrite. The issue was decided on November the 8th. Free Traitors lost.
I was going to point out my son’s Mazda was built in Japan.
Trump May Have Won, But Ford Is Still Moving Its Small-Car Production to Mexico
With all those people coming back Ford ought to be able to sell those cars right there, or eat them.
Don’t confuse ‘em with the facts.
Well the first step is to scrap the CAFE regulations.
This is correct. I’ve been trying to explain to people about how CAFE forces manufacturers’ hands, but, like most government regulations, it’s complicated and hard to explain.
