Twitter has initiated a major purge of prominent accounts associated with the alt-right exactly a week after GOP President-elect Donald Trumps stunning electoral victory.
One of the first and most prominent accounts caught up in the deletion is Richard Spencer, president and director of the National Policy Institute, an alt-right think tank focused on white identity and related policy issues.

Yes. We should take their terms meant to disparage us and embrace them.
The false association will vanish.
Beck supporters also ratted out Trump supporters to Hillary as alt right... like as if Beck and Cruise supporters would never suffer from the gestapo.
What a bunch of morons. I call them the westBoro rightists.
I’ve never had a Twitter account, and I sure won’t get one now, even if they stop censoring. They need to be drummed out of business. Between conservatives and true social justice groups, if enough people drop them, they’ll tank. Since Trump is the leader of the “alt-right”, apparently his account will be deleted, too, right? THE ARROGANCE!! They need to be sued. The sheer HYPOCRISY of the left is absolutely mind boggling!
You have them so we don’t end up in an echo chamber. The Dems’s echo chamber mentality made it so politically correct to read rightwing articles that as a result they were blindsided this election.
It’s Alt Right and CTRL Left.
“com-Left”
How many Communists were exposed in the Obama White House administration?
Facebook wasn’t a better idea than Myspace. As Myspace was sold to Newscorp (who’s execs endorsed John F. Kerry in 2004, but is also parent company to Fox News), they lowered the age of registration from 18 to 13 and increased the amount of advertising onscreen and in newsfeed.
Much of the trending jump to Facebook was driven by a hatred of Newscorp (who’ve since sold Myspace). I can tell you that even libs and transvestites aren’t happy with Facebook today. You can have a long established account and be forced to change your account name to match the name on your identification that you confirm with them (or face having a locked account until compliance).
Facebook has dramatically increased the amount of advertising and has admitted to engaging in subtle psychological experiments (messing with what content appears in your newsfeed from friends as well as tracking and pushing ‘trending’ news items).
People are over facebook and it isn’t the website interface that has them upset. When the frustration/outrage reaches critical mass, people will leave it too.
Myspace (before the selloff and redesign of the website) had become a “promotion” site where everyone was sending out promotional (event related) posts and no one was reading them or responding to them.
Myspace was not the first such site, Friendster preceded it. Facebook was the one that a certain older age of adults joined (and thus an exodus of younger demographics who didn’t want to be linked to extended family).
“Com-Left”
Pax Dickinson was an early Gawker victim (got him fired from his original job) and he came back as an alt-right gadfly.
There was a backlash against socialist justice warriors in the 1990s. Lots of people recognizing the self-censorship that was being imposed and joking about PC fairy tales.
People reluctant to say “mailman” stumbling to correct themselves as they spoke “mailwoman, er mailperson, er postal carrier...”. By the late 1990s people had tired of it and didn’t care who was offended by the previous terms.
With the election of GW Bush as president in 2000, the national agenda at controlling the language and culture declined. The election of Hopey-Changey-Commie Obama in 2008 (and nearly a decade of college graduates in that climate) brought it back.
With so much typing and texting these days, the word-replacement is more automated (and imposed on worker bees at the corporate level with mandated employee “diversity training”).
When the MSM started ranting about the impact of F___book on the election you knew that F___book was on a downward trajectory.
The MSM is a lagging indicator of trends.
The ninety year old “experts” don’t help the process.
If your definition is accurate then I happily confess to being Alt-Right. I am all of those things.
I have been following Clint Eastwood and he was banned last week. He was pro-Trump.
ABC and other “news networks” announced at the earliest dates of the 2012 campaign season that they would be buying information from facebook on “Trends” to cover the election.
The alliance/collusion was in from the beginning.
Facetard is still pushing the narrative. The “trends” don’t reflect millions of users I run across on that site. They claim it is “automated” now but it isn’t. The “naming” may be automated but the news items are still culled and promoted.
I loathe Big Media.
Good. Now the contemporary Hollywood blacklist can be written about and studied in academia. A chill wind blows.

>>WHITE IDENTITY?
Leftist primates are opportunists who will fling whatever poo they manage to grasp with their tiny little brains and hands.
They’ve had great success alienating Christian Conservatives by maligning them into association with Christian “Identity” extremists — The nonchalant attitude towards the recent appointment of homosexuals to various positions in the incoming administration demonstrates that fact succinctly.
Now observe the fact that Trump was never called a “racist” before June 2015.
This is just more of the Same ol’ strategic “Deplorable” divisive bullshyte; “COEXIST” - Or Else!
It may come as a shock to the Twitterpated - but Twitter, and their tantrum of tyranny over the mind of man, isn’t a necessary pillar in the Identity of the American Republic.
WE will get along just fine without them.
