Congressional Clinton probes will go forward post-election, GOP lawmakers say

At least four congressional investigations into Hillary Clinton’s personal email use and mishandling of classified information are expected to go forward even after the former secretary of state’s election loss last week, Republican lawmakers tell Fox News.

The probes, which cover allegations that Clinton lied to Congress about her email practices in October 2015 and that government records were destroyed, are ongoing and not dependent on the election's outcome, two senior Republican senators said.

"I still don't have the information I need," Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, told Fox News. Johnson said the work of his committee, with jurisdiction over government records and the mishandling of classified information, would be careful not to disrupt President-elect Donald Trump’s priorities.

“I think it’s one of the messages of this election that the public is disgusted when they see double standards, when they think people in high places, high government officials can get away with what ordinary citizens can't,” he said. “So, I just think it’s extremely important to follow this thing through and get all the information. Make it public.”

OK this will rub against the grain.

First I think she is guilty as hell.

All military and civilians that handled classified information know what the penalties are for mishandling.

She was negligent about security at Banghazi both before the killings of the Americans and in any attempt to rescue them. So was her boss.

Her hearings should proceed up to the point of referral of charges if warranted.

The world is watching and at this point when her guilt is clear it may be wise for Trump to decline to prosecute, not pardon her. To prosecute a political opponent would be viewed as a vendetta, not the pursuit of justice.

The best possible alternative would be for obummer to pardon her before leaving office. That leaves the shadow of guilt over her and the political burdon of the pardon on obummer.

The real issue is determining which elements of national security were compromised.

What’d Trump grab their manginess?

The gang of 535, a.k.a. CONgre$$, should be in federal prison.

Their assets should be confiscated.

giving her a pardon would be an admission of guilt and then Congress could go after Obama! Remember his were abouts on night of Benghazi is unknown still and he was emailing Hillary under a fake name ....who knows what will turn up

Trump promised a Special Prosecutor. He should appoint the toughest one ever. Let it play out. And never comment on it again.

Unless Obama pardons her. What’s left of his legacy may be finished then. But he may not have a choice, if Hillary has massive dirt on him.

“Congressional Clinton probes will go forward post-election, GOP lawmakers say”

They’d better knowing what she, and her cohorts on the left have in store for us.

IF we think these alleged “protests” organized by the left that are currently happening across the nation are outrageous, we haven’t even seen the worst they will be throwing at us trying to force America to compromise with them.

This is war, and we have to recognize it is nothing less than war. The left made their move towards their final solution during the Obama tenure knowing they had no chance of winning after his eight years without an all out war on the constitution, and the Republic that exists because of it.

That’s nonsense.

Who’s going to stop the DOJ from indicting all of these crooked MF’s once ole blue lips is out of office?

TRUMP is going to fire EVERY US Attorney on the first day, and their replacements are going to be out for blood.

No enforcement mechanism for any pardon by a guy who has no power anymore.

This is excellent for the appropriate committees and investigations to take place. However the new President should not be hands-on with such matters of this former Cabinet Secretary Hillary Clinton. This is not a Page 1 story anymore but a Page 1001 story now that Hillary Clinton will never hold office or serve in government ever again.

>>> the pardoned person need not yet have been convicted
>>> or even formally charged with a crime.

Citing the case of Ford's pardon of Nixon, that's TRUE.

However, as we know through Wikileaks and other sources, there's a strong chance that Obama himself could be implicated in the known and "missing" Hillary emails. He's probably also implicated in the new 650,000 Weiner/Hillary emails which we haven't seen, but the Justice Department still possesses.

Thus, Obama places himself in legal jeopardy if he were to grant a pardon to Hillary, BECAUSE a presidential pardon cannot be applied to the president himself making the pardon. An investigation by the NEW Justice Department would likely ensue.

And there's every reason to believe that Trump is the kind of president who WOULD push back.

My concern is not indicting her, but what happens when she goes to trial. Will there be a jury that would convict her ? That is what makes me suspect the real reason behind these protests. It is sending a warning shot across the bows of potential jurors. If you convict Hillary, there will be an angry mob coming after you.

I hate to say it, but it would be best for our side if Obama pardons her. Then history can blame him, but the Trump administration is relieved of a a no-win issue.

He has MUCH BIGGER FISH TO FRY. Like building a wall, reversing Obama Executive Orders, lowering corporate taxes, setting up tariffs on companies like FORD, cancelling funding to U.N. (especially climate), stopping Iran nuke deal, getting Justice(s) confirmed, changing the geopolitical landscape in ways the globalists will HATE (like working with Putin to destroy the Saudi/Qatar/Clinton creature: ISIS) and many more.

Maybe some of the criminals the Clintons sold influence to will come after their money, since she can no longer deliver the goods.
