I think an electoral college where every county in the US had a single vote would be a good way to go. Just my opinion.

The last I checked, the electoral college is specified in the Constitution (Article II, Section 1, Clause 3). It takes an amendment to change our constitution. Boxer can propose an amendment but the states need to ratify it, which will never happen. Oh ... the wisdom of our founders.

What we really need is for our Congrerss to pass law that will ensure "one legal voter - one vote". I'm all for photo-id voter registration for legal "citizen" voters and an absolute end to illegal votes. For all my Christian and conservative friends who oppose this sane measure, I ask, are you also opposed to photo-id on a driver's license?

U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is slated to introduce legislation Tuesday which would eliminate the Electoral College, so presidential elections would be decided by the popular vote.

Babs needs to check the updated tally - Trump won the Electoral and Popular Vote.

Why does this old tramp have to keep reminding us of how stupid she is? We know, we know, Babs.

"This is the only office in the land where you can get more votes and still lose the presidency," Boxer said in a statement
The POTUS is elected by the states:
Article II Section 1:
Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
You might as well complain that a losing candidate in California got more votes for senator than a winning candidate in Wyoming did.

We're not a "democracy". We're a constitutional representative republic. The commie left hates that.

I'm personally offended that voters in Texas have no say in who is elected to the U.S. Senate from Kalifornia. We should just elect the Senators with nationwide voting and the 100 candidates with the most votes would then serve.

Actually, this approach might well get rid of some of the crazier members of the Senate. Would a basically pro-gun national electorate choose Chuck Schumer or Diane Feinstein? I don't think so.

Perhaps we could leave the present system in place but follow up with a nationwide election requiring 50% approval to seat any Senator. This might work.

If I recall correctly, both the House and Senate have the power to remove members. What a hoot it would be if the Second Amendment became so important to Americans that no anti-gunner would be tolerated by either the House or Senate. An anti-gun President would face immediate impeachment if somehow mistakenly elected.

The electoral college should introduce a bill to eliminate California.

(yes, I know that statement is absurd. But so is this proposed bill.)

FIRST: Count ALL of the votes-—

ADD ALL of the absentee votes—

ADD The MILITARY absentee votes-—

REMOVE all the votes by the illegals—

REMOVE all the votes of gthe dead person-—

Remove all the double votes...

CLARIFY the ‘provisional ballots.....

NOW- tell me who ‘won’ the popular vote.

We have the best chance ever of cleaning up the voter rolls & making sure people don’t multiple vote or vote from the grave, etc.

When that is accomplished, let’s see how the ‘popular vote’ compares to the Electoral College vote.

Meanwhile, isn’t this the last 47 days of Boxer being a Senator? She can STFU. She has been dumb as a box of rocks for all of her life. Go away....

Her only chance to have a national forum in the future is if she & others take the west coast (only) of Calif & make a new country out of it.

Go ahead, Boxer, we won’t miss you.
