U.S. EPA employees were in tears. Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling. Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off. Others might retire early.
And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump's victory.
"People are upset. Some people took the day off because they were depressed," said John O'Grady, president of American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, a union that represents thousands of EPA employees. After Election Day, "people were crying," added O'Grady, who works in EPA's Region 5 office in Chicago. "They were recommending that people take sick leave and go home."

Useless parasites.
Their tears are delicious.
Get them some Play-Doh and Coloring Books...QUICK!!! The SNOWFLAKES are MELTING!!
YAY!!!!!!
Time for them to get real jobs in the private sector.
WAH!
This just keeps getting better!
I’ll take them seriously when they resign their jobs and start working in the private sector. I’m sure the Clinton foundation has enough jobs for social engineers. /sarc
We do need about 10 people in this department, fire the rest...save a lot of money and lighting and heating costs for the Government of The People!!!
Where is it written that government employees are guaranteed lifetime employment.
It was just reported last week that there are 10 million more people working for government than in manufacturing.
It's time to reverse that.
“They were recommending that people take sick leave and go home.”
And you wonder why you all need to be fired?
The US Federal Government is a highly politicized, biased organization. It is shot through with the progressive agenda and leftist ideology.
It is supported ultimately by massive debt - courtesy of our completely printed, unbacked currency, and the Federal Reserve. We will continue to slip down the slope of empire and leftist, statist tyranny as long as this does not change.
They should all be worried because, the swamp is getting drained. Several of these Federal Departments need to be eliminated completely. The private sector needs to be the one to create our national workforce, not theFeds!
Ain’t karma a biatch? I love watching big bullies cry like a bunch of big babies. Didn’t 25% say they were going to quit if Trump won? Time to get with the program snowflakes. It’s OUR government and you abused it!
There are way too many federal employees, a hiring freeze and buyouts would be a good way to start.
Trump needs to institute reforms to the federal service so all the dead weight can be fired.
Those that are in fear know they are worthless parasites. One thing I’d like to see is a very through vetting process for ending their employment. To separate the wheat from the chaff you have to know the difference.
This goes to show how one-sided the EPA is. It's nothing more than a cesspool of liberalism, totally out of touch with America and the business sector. It needs to be scraped.
Heck, I thought 35% had declared their intention to resign if Trump won. Stop whining and start resigning.
Of course, they’ll resign about like all those Hollywood whiners and drama queens will actually leave the USA because Trump won.
DOJ...he’s comin’ for ya.
