Woo hoo!! Great job all you Irredeemable Deplorable Patriots!! We did it!!
Now he's got to put his government together and start laying out his battle plan to drain the swamp and begin making America great again!!
Praying he stays true to the mission he was elected to accomplish and does not fall victim to the DC Swamp disease. As a complete outsider, he's like Mr. Smith going to Washington (fresh meat, boys) and the conniving old sharks are all circling about trying to drag him under. Don't listen to the establishment, Mr. President, who will be clamoring to "help" you fill the top slots with "experienced" people. Bring in fresh blood!!
Prayers up for our nation and our new president, Donald Trump!!
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We must not allow the flame of freedom to be extinguished on our watch!! We must remain ever vigilant!!

Make it a monthly if you can. We have some very generous FReeper sponsors kicking in an extra ten bucks for every new monthly signed up. And 45 new monthly donors have signed up so far this quarter.
Or send in a hundred dollars or more per quarter and join I_be_tc's growing list of 300 Club patriots. I_be_tc sends in $100 per quarter and challenges 300 others to do the same. If we could get 300 FReepers to send in $100 per quarter, these FReepathons would complete much faster. And we have received 213 donations of $100 or more so far this quarter.
Thank you all very much!!
God bless.
Thank you very much, Lazamataz!! Go, FReepers!!

While no record exists of the historic banquet's exact menu, the Pilgrim chronicler Edward Winslow wrote in his journal that Governor Bradford sent four men on a 'fowling' mission in preparation for the event, and that the Wampanoag guests arrived bearing five deer.
Historians have suggested that many of the dishes were likely prepared using traditional Native American spices and cooking methods. Because the Pilgrims had no oven and the Mayflowers sugar supply had dwindled by the fall of 1621, the meal did not feature pies, cakes or other desserts,
which have become a hallmark of contemporary celebrations.

We should have this one wrapped up before Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving
The green bean casserole was first created in 1955 by the Campbell Soup Company.
Dorcas Reilly led the team that created the recipe while working as a staff member in the home economics department. The inspiration for the dish was 'to create a quick and easy recipe around two things most Americans always had on hand in the 1950s: green beans and Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup.'
In 2002, Reilly presented the original recipe card to the National Inventors Hall of Fame in Akron, Ohio.

Thanksgiving
Americans commonly trace the Thanksgiving holiday to a 1621 celebration at the Plymouth Plantation, where the Plymouth settlers held a harvest feast after a successful growing season. Autumn or early winter feasts continued sporadically in later years, first as an impromptu religious observance, and later as a civil tradition.
Squanto, a Pawtuxet Native American who resided with the Wampanoag tribe, taught the Pilgrims how to catch eel and grow corn and served as an interpreter for them (Squanto had learned English during travels in England). Additionally the Wampanoag leader Massasoit had donated food stores to the fledgling colony during the first winter when supplies brought from England were insufficient.

Thanksgiving
Culinary historians believe that much of the Thanksgiving meal consisted of seafood, which is often absent from today's menus. Mussels in particular were abundant in New England and could be easily harvested because they clung to rocks along the shoreline. The colonists occasionally served mussels with curds, a dairy product with a similar consistency to cottage cheese. Lobster, bass, clams and oysters might also have been part of the feast.

Thanksgiving
Almost anything can serve as a stuffing, many popular Anglo-American stuffings contain bread or cereals, usually together with vegetables, herbs and spices, and eggs. Middle Eastern vegetable stuffings may be based on seasoned rice, on minced meat, or a combination. Other stuffings may contain only vegetables and herbs. Some types of stuffing contain sausage meat, or forcemeat, while vegetarian stuffings sometimes contain tofu.
Oysters are used in one traditional stuffing for Thanksgiving. These may also be combined with mashed potatoes, for a heavy stuffing. Fruits and dried fruits can be added to stuffing including apples, dried prunes, apricots, and raisins. In England, a popular stuffing is sausage meat seasoned with various ingredients, sage, onion, apple, etc.
The stuffing mixture may be cooked separately and served as a side dish, in which case it may still be called 'stuffing', or in some regions, such as the Southern US, 'dressing'
