Hillary Clinton acknowledged on a call with her campaign staff and volunteers on Friday that her election loss had taken an emotional toll. But she encouraged those listening to stay engaged in the political process once the despair of Tuesday passed.
Im not going to sugarcoat it: These have been very, very tough days, Clinton said. This is a tough time for our country. I think we have seen how people have been reacting to the events of this election and I know we have got to be reaching out to each other to keep it clear in our own minds that what we did is so important. It looks like we are on the path to winning the popular vote, and that says volumes about the importance of your work and the lasting impact it will have.
Clintons comments are the first shes offered since her concession speech to Donald Trump on Wednesday morning. Then and now, she kept a calm demeanor, not casting blame for the outcome but instead encouraging those listening to move forward constructively. Fridays call, which The Huffington Post was able to dial into, lasted roughly 15 minutes, interrupted for a few minutes by a tech snafu.
Clinton thanked her backers for the work they put in, calling the campaign one of the greatest honors of my life. And she encouraged them to remain politically engaged in the future.

Does that promise that if you DON"T win the popular vote you will admit the fallacy of your "work?"
Forget about your devil spawn; She hasn't a snowball's chance in Hell to succeed where you failed.
Her personality, anger issues, arrogance and sense of entitlement are as bad as yours, reportedly worse, and reflect a compromised personality.
No Clinton Legacy in this country!
Yeah, she had to move back in with Bill.
I wonder if her flight to NY required her to get off the plane amid sniper fire, rushing with head down to the car.
She will get more media coverage over the next four years than Trump will.
Bet on it.
I hope not but she might. One thing I’ve been hoping for with this election, is seeing and hearing less of that smug face and awful voice of hers.
She also expressed dismay with all the protesters, rioting, beating of Trump supporters.. she urged calm, and peaceful marches, and no more violence or looting and burning.
Oh wait, no she didn’t. And neither did the resident.
And treat her like she treated waitresses on her campaigns, by not leaving her a tip.

why is this a tough time for our country? We had an election, and candidates from president on down to local school boards, were either elected or defeated. How is that tough????
Or does she mean it’s tough on liberals to lose????
I hope you are being sarcastic.
Watch for all the medical problems she has denied recently to come up in desperate requests for mercy.
It would make me happy if she would just go away. Can’t she just throw a good drunk? Glad I don’t have to be around her.
“No Clinton legacy in this country.”
Tell that to Chelsea Clinton...she’s being groomed to run for office in Westchester County (think that’s Chappaqua area in Connecticut???)
I’ve been in a holiday mood since Tuesday night. Christmas every single day.

With a mind like “jello”, she couldn’t remember who ordered what at the restaurant.
bet it really sucks when you lose and then find out what your staff and campaign team really thinks of you.
LBJ survived Nixon’s first term by a day or two.
2016 will certainly be one of the most historic years in American history. It was the year when events happened we never thought we’d see in our lifetimes. The Cubs winning the World Series and the Clinton Dynasty being taken down. Ah yes, the holidays are gonna be extra special for all of us Freepers this year. These may be very, very tough days for Hillary and her leftist goons, but very happy ones for the rest of America.
what difference does it make?!
i mean if he rapes in front of her or behind her back
/sorry couldn’t resist
