Grughub CEO Matt Maloney in post Trump landslide meltdown tells employees if they supported Don Trump to resign. Well his stock is in post meltdown from $39.06 to $35.25 today. Wonder if his board asks him to resign. Good company to boyotte.

I feel certain that any employer who had tried this in 2008, saying anyone who voted for Obama should resign, would be the target of lawsuits, and perhaps of federal action.

He claims it has been misinterpreted. lol I would say it was as clear as day.
I would not resign but probably would complain of a hostile work environment. Then again, conservatives are not victims so.....

Well he just insulted, minimally, half of his potential market.
To: ozaukeemom
I would have sent a reply saying I disagreed with his e-mail and asking him what he plans on doing about it.
I would have cc’d human resources and a labor lawyer.

I guess, if I read that I would reply “Bye”. And I would simply get up and leave. The guy is a jerk.

A parsing little coward. His first email was very clear - if you support Trump, resign. His second email is just as clear - if you support Trump, this company considers you hostile, so resign.
He thinks that by calling his victims hostile, he can beat a hostile workplace rap because “he called it first.” It’s like beating someone while screaming “stop hitting me.”
Won’t work, you nasty little boy.
Sue him into the ground.

I'll help him rewrite his email ;) Hes right, sort of, but in a misguided way. Were all still trying to reconcile the worldview of people who fail to understand the overwhelming message that was delivered on Election Day about government needing to serve the people and not vice versa. Clearly there are a lot of people angry and scared about how government has become an intrusive powermonger with a Capitol full of corruption and how every recent modern presidential candidate won and will be our next president. While the federal government has been demeaning, insulting and ridiculing the rule of law and rights of freedom for minorities, immigrants, the physically/mentally disabled, and everyone, I want to be clear that this behavior and these views, have no place for respect in America. Any politician holding office, with comments of opposition to the rights and freedoms of Americans, should be terminated at the ballot box. We have worked for years cultivating a culture of support and inclusiveness here in America where people can live in freedom and have their rights respected. I firmly believe that we must bring together different perspectives to continue innovating including all genders, races, ethnicities and sexual, cultural or ideological preferences. We are better, faster and stronger together. Further I absolutely reject the internationalist non-checks-and-balances, anti-immigration-rule-of-law and hateful/decisive politics of the Trump haters and will work to shield our community from the tyranny of this movement as best as I can. As we all try to understand what the vote for the anti-rule-of-law Clinton machine means to us, I want to affirm to anyone on our team that is scared or feels personally exposed, that I and everyone else here in America who loves our Constitutional Republic will fight for your dignity and your right to make a better life for yourself and your family here in the United States. If you do not agree with this statement then please feel free to leave the country and go find a socialistic totalitarian nation to live in because we intend to make this a strong Constitutional Republic where freedom for all people and their rights shall reign supreme. We do not tolerate hateful attitudes towards our Constitution. I want to repeat that the new administration deserves our open minds and a chance to lead, but never stop believing that the fight for whats right is worth it. Stay strong

Then again, conservatives are not victims so....
And THAT is why they continue to take advantage of us, because we don't strike back!
I have been rear-ended three times in my life, and yet I have NEVER filed a lawsuit. Why? Because I just got on with my life. But my company rear-ended a man going 5 MPH, in rush-hour, bumper-to-bumper traffic and he tried to sue us for over $600K! Hell, his wife, who wasn't in the vehicle tried to sue us for $425K!!
I believe, if we started making their stupidity actually painful (on their wallets, on their livelihoods, on their mental stability, etc...) they would stop all this IGNORANCE!

Sorry, I’m going to have to disagree with everyone and praise this CEO.
For a long time people have been saying that CEOs need to be responsible to the public at large, and not only their bottom line.
That’s exactly what happened here.
This CEO sacrificed the profitability of Grubhub to openly warn customers of their bigoted attitude towards half the country.
I think that’s great. Hopefully more of these companies will out themselves so customers can make informed choices.
