Gov. Christie has been replaced by vice president-elect Mike Pence as the chairman of Donald Trumps White House transition team.
Christie is now a vice chairman of the team, along with former House speaker Newt Gingrich, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, former Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson, and U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, the team announced Friday.
In addition to the governors replacement, two Christie confidants who were on the transition team -- Rich Bagger, a former Christie chief of staff, and Bill Palatucci, a longtime adviser -- will return to the private sector. Bagger and Palatucci will still remain as advisers to the team.
The team which also announced an executive committee that includes three of Trumps children and his son-in-law, among others will build on the initial work done under the leadership of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to help build a transformative government ready to lead from day one, Trump said in a statement.
The team didnt disclose why Pence replaced Christie.

A big ta-doo about nothing.
As you can see, Trump listens to the people!
Yeah...he is a problem there is no doubt...don’t know which is worse, a Jersey ‘Rat or a Jersey RINO....can’t wait to beat feet out of this cesspool.
Seems reasonable and nothing suggests less role for Chris Christie. I read the details on the transition team and am very happy to see the caliber of the whole team that Trump has assembled.
he'll land in a good spot, he was loyal and he's talented.
And that little trick with closing that bridge LEFT ME SITTING FOR OVER TWO HOURS!
I despise Christie for it because if we curse politicos who don’t do the will of the people, does anybody think the people using that bridge to travel (and it IS a perfectly horrible bridge bear in mind) would have voted to have Christie close it down to get even with a political opponent?
Even if he was getting even with a Democrat, a smile perhaps, he had no business doing that and anybody thinks Christie had nothing to do with it, I got a bridge to sell. Cheap and with the option to close it when I’m mad.
Mark Levin was saying last night how horrible it was for Christie to have this role and that he was placing RINOS in position to damage Trump.
That didn’t take long.
Chris Christie was probably the first big name/officeholder to endorse Trump; he is a pro-life conservative, and should be viewed as a conservative asset.
Whatever gripes people have about Christie, being a RINO isn’t one of them.
Bridge gate?
He's a real ass.
Who’s gun did he grab?
Great switch. There needs to be serious monitoring so we don’t fall back into the same ol’, same ol’.
“I saw some blowback about Christie, that he was bringing Bushie and Romney types onboard. That got changed PDQ.”
If so that is not good. We need competent people.
I’m thankful for Christie’s support of Trump. Beyond that, it’s up to Trump to make wise decisions going forward.
Let them stay. Trump can expose them and their true colors down the road.
Trump needs a big tent of supporters to help him build a strong national coalition. As long as they can eschew corruption and make government a servant of the people, not vice versa, and support our Constitutional Republic then be inclusive, listen, and make America great.
I definitely think it was wise to make Pence the chairman of the transition team. This ensures that Christie and anyone trying to waver from Trump’s mission/goals will have proper oversight.
Thinking of Pence and Veterans Day .... here is a video of talk radio on Memorial Day in 1997 .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pqb0GDu2mw
Fingers crossed that the floating of Christie’s name as chief of staff had nothing to it. Christie is a RINO who is beyond weak on Islamists.
I think as a leader we should not trust him. But as a cop serving President Trump, Christie brings a lot of power.
I really do see Christie as two different people depending whether he’s issuing the orders or receiving them. As a receiver, he’s invaluable.
