Sore losers. Liberals are like whiny spoiled brats - they have to have their way or they throw a tantrum.

Tell them that those signatures count as a second vote and that they are now ballot stuffers.

Nobody ever told them...The Electoral College doesn’t grade on the curve.

The Electoral College – which was first introduced in 1804...

Wrong! The Electoral College (although not explicitly referred to as such) was provided for in the original Constitution (1787). It was only after the highly contested election of 1800 (essentially Jefferson vs. Adams, which was decided in the House of Representatives) that the Twelfth Amendment was ratified in an attempt to smooth out the process and make it less likely for an election to be decided in the House. The Twelfth Amendment, for the first time, specified that Electors in their respective states were to vote separately for president and vice-president. It was ratified in 1804.

Does a few thousand signatures outweigh tens upon tens of millions of votes?

The Electoral College – which was first introduced in 1804

This is an egregious error. The Electoral College was in the original 1787 Constitution, but was amended in 1804 after the debacle of 1800 in which the contest had to be decided in the House of Representatives.

I am loath to suggest this but there is actually one voice that might calm things down should he decide to speak (and he allegedly supported Trump). It's someone I have absolutely no use for: Ralph Nader. And I have absolutely no use for him for a very good reason: he advocates a "left-right alliance" of people like BDS and Pat Buchanan would join together against the common foe (You-Know-Who). But as he does advocate a left-right alliance and has considerable cachet on the far left, he might could help calm things down should he choose to do so.

Apparently he has not yet done this.

Petitions are enumerated in the Constitution which is great.

What they desire,

50,000,000 million petitioned the electoral college to pick Trump.
100:1, you lose.

You know what?

There’s no proof that Clinton won the popular vote.

Mr. mm pointed out that some states have laws that if one candidate wins by more than a certain margin, the mail in or absentee ballots are NOT counted.

And also, there’s the military ballots that are often not counted.

And IMO, if they want to claim that she won the popular vote, each and every state would need to count ALL their votes and take out the ones that are a result of vote fraud, like mail in ones for dead people or those who are not registered correctly or are not legal citizens.

Before a president could be elected by popular vote, then they would have to PROVE that the individual actually got the popular vote in an honest election.

What’s the need for all this rigmarole? Why doesn’t Obama just float an executive order declaring Hillary to be the next president? (/sarc)

I bet we could get far more signatures for the EC to elect Trump. If it’s just signatures then why even hold an election?
