Schubert: "Alinde"The song is about searching for a girl named Alinde. Each verse has the searcher asking a different person if he has seen her.
Ian Bostridge, tenor; Julius Drake, piano. In German. This is very late Schubert and one of his great songs.

Dan sure had his work cut out for him. After having to save his rider from death by dehydration, he had to lead his herd of cattle out of the Dust Bowl.

Hi Fatima!
I’ll start with “I’m Looking Through You” by the Beatles and see if I can come up with some more.

Schubert: "The Pilgrim"This is a Schubert setting of Schiller's poem about the search for the Ineffable. But when you find it, it isn't what you thought it was.
Christoph Pregardien, tenor; Andreas Staier, piano. In German. Late Schubert, and it captures the conflicting moods of the poem.
