As someone who started in political communications by fighting the Clintons way back in 1992, I'll be forever grateful for every single person who voted for Donald Trump in 2016. It matters not to me whether they were early adapting, pedal to the metal Trumpers -- or lukewarm reluctant Trumpers -- or even late-converting Never Trumpers. Each vote counted as one, and Trump needed almost all of them to once and for all rid us of the Clinton machine.
Amen and pass the plate!
Moreover, the future of the Supreme Court, not to mention the nation, is radically more optimistic today, as are the prospects of securing the border, and of ridding us of the cancer of ObamaCare. This is all very good.
For the record, I fit into category B in the scenario above, not joining the Never Trump movement (though I was tempted twice), while never claiming that Trump could not win. I always maintained that Hillary Clinton was capable of losing to anyone, often stating that the IBD/TIPP poll was worth watching, and that the LA Times Daybreak poll's new paradigm was very interesting as well.
And let's be honest, Hillary Clinton losing is precisely what happened, and the numbers back this up. While some were predicting this big tidal wave of 70 million plus Trump supporters, swelling total turnout to something like 140 million voters, that is not at all what took place. Not even close.
So before I get to some effusive praise of Trump, consider this:

After Trump is in the White House we should welcome back former resident nevertrumpers. But not until then.
We needed their help and they stood on the sidelines badmouthing Trump, some actually cheering Hillary.
But we’ve got battles ahead of us with a monolithic Uniparty and will need all hands on deck.
If they start with the negative waves again, sayonara. Again.

C. Edmund Wright bends the knee, still doesn’t feel all that genuine. As someone who had tussles with him, I’m still not all that impressed with him.
In my past 17 years here, I’ve noticed that many Freepers who use their full name as a handle turn out to be self-promoting narcissists. (Jim Rob being the exception that proves the rule, of course.)
Like it or not, there are a lot of people who still get most of their news from the mainstream media outlets like CNN, NYT, NBC, CBS, WSJ, ABC, etc., and they trust those outlets. So all the bashing they did on Trump including the Billy Bush tape, the so-called victims of groping, the Mexican judge thing, the McCain "not a hero" stuff - all of this did have an effect and it discourage a lot of would-be Trump supporters.
The upside of this is that Trump won the presidency anyway and so he is in prime position to win all those people over through his actions as president. They will get to know him better and they will realize that he is far from the monster the MSM made him out to be. They will be pleasantly surprised and if Trump does as well as I expect him to, he'll be setting himself up for a massive landslide re-election in 2020.
This is what the MSM and Democrats fear most and why they were trying to prevent his presidency in the first place. If Trump can perform well and earn minority support, he will change the political landscape and the Democrats will continue to see declining results in future elections as their base deserts them.
In my opinion, Donald Trump would not have been able to win if he ran in previous elections. The mainstream media would have been successful in destroying him completely. Social media and alternative ways to get out his message unfiltered saved him.
