The Obamas canceled a photo-op of the current and future first couples outside the south entrance of the White House. In his first visit to the White House after the 2008 election, Mr. Obama and first lady Michelle Obama posed for the cameras alongside President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush. The decision not to participate in this tradition illustrates how bitter the campaign was, particularly for Mrs. Obama who delivered some of the most emotional arguments against electing Mr. Trump.
will they even have a Rose Garden photo-op?
Low class till the bitter end.
One more indication of how truly classless they are. I don’t even have words to express my disdain for them.
I’m forgiving of this break with tradition for Mrs. O is not good at faking graciousness like her husband.
Sad sack canceling the photo op is snarky.
Obama excoriated Bush during his campaign. But, George and Laura set that aside to enable a peaceful transition.
Now, at least one of the Obama's is so bitter they refuse to stand side-by-side for the cameras.
Obama should be on TV, telling the protestors to calm down and let the transition happen peacefully. There is plenty of time in the future to advocate for or against your favorite issue.
I've been joking that these protests remind me of the ones back in 2008 when Obama was elected.
Oh, wait....
But seriously, folks: if there had been protests back in 2008, what do you think Bush would have done? Would he have engaged in this petty crap? Or would he have scheduled a national address to remind people that in the US, "revolutions" happen on a regular basis and they should be peaceful?
I was watching when that happened. The newsies did not give any negative descriptions to this snub......that I heard.
