Fox News host Sean Hannity, a close ally of Donald Trump, said Tuesday night that Paul Ryan would not retain his position as House speaker in the next Congress.
"Paul Ryan is not going to be the speaker of the House in January," Hannity said.
"He's not going to be speaker."

Just because Trump praised Reince doesn't mean that he wants Ryan. Apparently Trump thinks that Reince was loyal.
Adios Ryan.
Gohmert was a Cruz guy and was NeverTrump for about 3/4ths of the campaign. He came around eventually to supporting Trump, but in my opinion forfiets any consideration for Speaker.
Moneyball, too! Trump ran the leanest campaign in the history of ever and beat all comers!
Thanks to best election ever I now know what “the fix is in” means.
Do you seriously believe he changed his spots over night? I wouldn’t let this sniveling little weasel near my presidency. He is bending over backwards to kiss Trump’s butt right now and for good reason.
That little backstabbing fart blossom Rove was shilling for Ryan last night on how he and Walker gave Whiskey to Trump and finally Tucker Carlson called him out on it and the discussion got heated. The GOPE is flailing about trying to save face and ingratiate themselves with Trump to some extent and you can tell they are acting like Trump is a leper in the process.
Of course he did after the fact and had Trump lost and they won he would have trashed Trump and had they lost their majority and Trump lost he would have trashed Trump. Ryan is a total a$$ kissing weasel.
Trump doesn’t need to make up with these pecker heads. Trump needs them to crawl to him, head down and seek his permission for everything. Fact is what ever these punks touch they generally screw it up so there is no real upside in making nice with them.
I proudly voted for Trump yesterday and I’m no RINO. It’s just my opinion and I could be wrong.
I don't think so; he never wanted the job in the first place.
Can’t seem to find it but I remember it well.
It was in early spring and I think it was a Koch brothers event.
What stuck out was Axelrod was on the list.
I will keep looking
Found it!

RUBIO LOOKS TO CASH IN AT CAMP MITT
Whos up for a Cherry Coke Zero and a little flag football? If thats your bag, then Mitt Romneys annual gathering of politicians, policy wonks and rich people at a Utah resort is the place to be this weekend. This is the Romneysian answer to the February cattle calls for conservatives held by groups like Charles and David Koch and their donor network. Instead of golf, cigars and an emphasis on political strategy, the Romney meeting is about squeaky-clean outdoor fun and policy. But make no mistake, this is a major-league tryout with high stakes.
The one who stand to benefit most is Marco Rubio, who has seen his poll numbers retreat since his April launch but has had continuing success in making his case to establishment donors wary of Jeb Bushs general election viability. Those are just the kind of people who will be in the mountains with Romney. When Romney opted against a 2016 run in January, he called for the next generation of Republican leaders to take the reins. That fits precisely with Rubios generational appeal to his party as a GOP JFK.
Rubio has also been putting in plenty of sweat equity to win Romneys blessing. Rubios political skills plus Romneys donor network could be just the recipe to defeat Jeb Bush. Plenty of Romney team members have ended up in Rubios orbit and he has the strongest case to make as a fusion candidate who can unite the donor class with the activist core.
Less likely to get Romney to pop open another pack of Peanut M&Ms is Scott Walker. Walker, more of a blunt instrument, is farther right than most of the residents of Romneyland. Plus, Walkers book bags on Romneys 2012 campaign. At length. But Walkers task is no less important than Rubios. At a meeting of technocrats and moderate Republicans, Walker cant afford to be seen as unready or dangerous. Just as Rubio has to stay an acceptable second choice to Walker among Iowa voters, Walker has to be broadly acceptable to the elites. Rubio is riding behind Walker when it comes to Iowa Harley tours and hog roasts, but this weekend its Rubio who has the home-field advantage.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Ohio Gov. John Kasich are all reportedly going to be on hand and will get the chance to make their cases to the CEO set. But for them, the idea is more about getting the whale donors to hold off in backing Rubio long enough to get their own national campaigns in position.
Havent you always wondered what they look like in Tevas? - Also on the bipartisan guest list: Yahoo News Katie Couric, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, GE CEO Jeff Immelt, former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, and Obama soothsayer David Axelrod.
Whos not there:
Bush wraps up his overseas trip this weekend ahead of his Monday announcement in Miami. He and Romney had a gentlemanly meeting earlier this year prior to Romneys decision to not mount a third presidential run.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, will be in Oklahoma Saturday for a state party luncheon. No surprise here.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. is in California Friday and Saturday to raise money in Newport Beach and Irvine. Paul backed Romney in 2012 over Pauls own father, but the Kentucky senator said a few months ago that Romney should never run again.
Ben Carson will not attend the Romney forum either, but his campaign didnt have a weekend plan yet, telling Fox News it would release his public schedule later today.
Gee, that kind of sounds like me.
Well, if a legitimate putsch arises against either of their leadership I for one will be all in favor of it. If not, one of the reasons I supported Mr. Trump was because of his skill in putting together deals. He will deal with Mr. Ryan in his own way and at his own time. Hell, he’s defeated every other cuck in the Republican party.
I think every citizen should be forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance in public before a judge and any that refuse should be quarantined!!!!!
Ryan is out of step with his own State.
Oh, puh-lease.
Nobody is less on board with Trump than that corrupted weakling.
I saw this too, except I think it was Tucker Carlson who jumped down Rove's throat?
Whoever it was, the whole 8 or 9 person Fox panel erupted. Loudest shouting match I've ever seen on cable news. It was almost a donnybrook.
Bret Baier had a hard time trying to restore order, was yelling for someone to help him throw a flag.
I have been saying for 15 years that Rove is S C U M
Right for 15 years too!
“I hope Fox gets rid of his sorry ass.”
And puts ME-gyn and her killer B’s on waivers.
Believe it or not, Wolfie and John King were superb last night when crunching through the incoming vote totals over a period of a couple hours. They are capable of being good news source, which makes the CNN leftie propaganda all the more maddening.
Newt for Chief-of-Staff.
I like Sessions as Speaker of House, that is thinking outside the box for the right leader and make room to groom a younger man in Sessions senate seat.
Got to have a conservative talent pipeline!
