At a campaign rally in Novi, Michigan Friday evening, Donald Trump asked President Barack Obama not to "pardon Clinton and her co-conspirators" if any charges were filed related to the email scandal.

"Mr. President," Trump said. "Will you pledge not to issue a pardon to Hillary Clinton and her co-conspirators for their many crimes against our country, and against society itself. No one is above the law."

If it’s found out that he’s implicated in the dirty deeds, can he pardon himself? Just wondering.

“Men must either be caressed or else annihilated; they will revenge themselves for small injuries, but cannot do so for great ones; the injury therefore that we do to a man must be such that we need not fear his vengeance.”
– Niccolo Machiavelli

Hitlery is unredeemable and she cannot be trusted. Neither can her followers be trusted. The only thing they respect is power. This is a proven fact; her followers engaged in cheating and stealing all the time.

It’s irrelevant.
A pardon doesn’t protect her if Trump decides she needs to answer for the things she has done.

I'm really surprised at how many people don't remember history.

So am I. I was only a kid, but I was paying attention.

It will be easy to see coming...first a trial balloon in NYTs and Washington Post...then reports of her bad health. Then some old-school corrupt politician calling on her pardon for ‘healing’.

Yeah, and especially if there’s not even charges brought, any pardon would be a sure sign of GUILTY. And as someone else pointed out, O-bye himself would be implicated in the whole thing. On pins and needles, to see how it all plays out.

That would be the perfect ending to this 8 year nightmare, O-bye! declaring himself GUILTY of crimes, by giving himself a pardon. What a great chapter for the history books.

...Living with this defeat will be more difficult than any sentence a judge could impose...

Hillary, Loretta Lynch, Huma, Lois Lerner and others must be punished severely to demonstrate that treason, corruption and turning the government against political enemies will never be tolerated.

There may be a temporary advantage, but the risk must be so high that it is never an unthinkable crime.

One difference between now and the Nixon situation.

Nixon did a relatively small thing. There was enough understanding of right and wrong to overcome the Nixon event. We were all tired and wanted to move on.

Now, what Clinton has done is too BIG to ignore, it sets too much of a precedence to let this go. And there are a lot of still angry people out here, wanting to see justice.

1) If Obama does pardon everyone involved, it shows how big the corruption was.

2) If he doesn’t pardon everyone and underlings are prosecuted, it reveals how big the corruption was.

3) If he doesn’t pardon anyone, and big and small fish are prosecuted, it reveals how big the corruption was.

For the future of the country, light needs to be shined on the corruption. I think Trump understands this as a patriot.

IMO, he won’t. Pardoning her would be the same as admitting he and his entire administration is just as guilty.

A pardon doesn’t protect her if Trump decides she needs to answer for the things she has done.

1) The pardons can be challenged on legal grounds, revealing and shining light on the corruption.

2) There are still state issues that are unpardoned to shine light on the corruption.

The important thing is to shine the light on the corruption.

I suppose you have a point. One thing we have learned about Democrats is that whenever they get away with something they just double-down on it the next time.

Egypt wants to extradite her.
No pardon issued by the United States has any effect on an Egyptian court.

You can’t pardon on ongoing crime.
