Career civil servants can’t be forced to resign

Career civil servants who thought they could break the law with impunity can either resign or face prosecution.

Yes. There is the old quote” “You show me the man, I will show you the crime.” Meaning: If you want to charge someone, you will find a way to charge them. It’s basically the origin of Ayn Rand’s Dr. Floyd Ferris quote.

Just about every civil servant has done something wrong, big or small. In many cases they can be persuaded to step down.
