Heavy voter turnout reported across Granite State
New Hampshire Union Leader ^ | November 8, 2016 | JOHN KOZIOL

"It’s looking like (Secretary of State) Bill Gardner’s prediction of a record turnout is going to hold up," said Deputy Secretary of State David Scanlan in a phone interview.

On Friday, Gardner predicted a record 550,000 votes will be cast on Elections Day. He believes 282,000 Republican ballots will be cast – a record for the GOP – and 268,000 Democratic ballots, second to the 272,000 cast in 2008.

One woman exiting the school, Alice Noise, said she was a Democrat who voted for Trump because she had lost trust in Clinton after repeated scandals.

"I was a big supporter of Hillary the last time around but I didn’t realize how dishonest the whole political scene had become," she said. "Our country is like the Titanic. That’s how I feel. We’re ready to crash. We have to do something."

Read her statement after she cast her vote. She’s (according to her) “humble”.

That was actually from this morning after she voted in Chappaqua. I agree that she sounded pretty subdude, however, she did arrive home late from Philly and woke early to vote when polls first opened. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

However, I am interested in how I’m seeing some of the pollsters refine their predictions (538 and Luntz) based on what they’re seeing in the turnouts thus far.

If that prediction holds, Trump will be in pretty good shape, assuming he goes on to take FL and NC.

She’s never been humble a day in her life. She’s depressed, not humble.

If you inhabit the establishment media information universe, everything is rosy, and Obama is the best president ever.

Hillary Clinton is the smartest woman in the world. When will those mean Republicans stop bullying her!

Nottingham, NH..... high turnout at the local high school at 10:30 in the morning. At least 100 cars in the parking lot. We walked behind a lady who said her husband had called her this morning early before work and reported at that time there was a gigantic line of people. Nottingham has only 6000 residents or so. People are very motivated!! I am cautiously optimistic.

“And I hope there are millions more Democrats across this nation who say and do the same thing!”.....

Problem is getting them to vote for Trump. The idiots who support Hitlary would care less if she murdered a baby on the door step of the WH with numerous people watching. She is as corrupt and they come and needs LOTS of jail time. Unfortunately, she will not get it.

550,000 seems low. Maine has same population and we will have 750,000 voters.

Sounds good. But my concern is with your “same day registration” law and NH’s proximity to one of the filthiest states in the nation,a state chock full of homeless bums who would gladly break a law for a neat bus ride and a promise of a bottle of cheap wine...or crack.
