Serves you right for voting for Obama. Afterall, bakesales are now the Devil in the eyes of the Dems.
The law is the law.................
Anthony was just talking about this, so sad the local officials have their priorities all screwed up....
Cooking food is indictable, but cooking books for the CGI is not.
The trend is to institutionalize trade more and more, increasing the overhead.
I know there are people who are leery of literally homemade whatever. And that’s fine, but this is the kind of problem that calls for disclosure, not bans.
You mean corporate law is corporate law.
Because that's what she's being charged under. And AFAIK, she's not a corporate entity.
Amazing how few people have a problem with that.
Zero tolerance = zero intelligence.
The law is the law.................
Until there are too many laws and they get selectively enforced, then you live in a tyranny.....
Dumbass laws like this do nothing but distract from REAL issues of actual CRIME like murder, theft etc...
They should raid the district attorney of this county’s Thanksgiving dinner for preparing food without a freeking license....
Because.... The law is the law.................
As long as he/she isn’t selling Thanksgiving dinners it’s okay.................
We are living in an era of “Neo-Feudalistic Guilds enforced by an overbearing government”....
Welcome to the new middle ages...
“The law is the law.................”
Unless you’re a Clinton, or connected to the democrat hierarchy.
If it’s honkies? SILENCE
But let one little Maria fall under the boot of da Gummint and EVERY presstitute comes calling with a camera.
If she’s white?
The whole story falls apart.
They need a permit? Utterly ridiculous.
Then again this is the People’s Republic of California.
and another Republican is born...
until the Saturday came when the city inspectors dropped by and made all of them but a "license"...
and you think govt works for the people....
But if she gave the food away, it would be legal. So it's, clearly, not a health issue but a money issue.
She says it also undercuts business owners who get permits to make their food.
Again, if she had no permit and gave food away, no problemo. Oh, the joys of permits wherein the government takes away a right and then sells it back to you.
[ As long as he/she isnt selling Thanksgiving dinners its okay. ]
So private cooking is now equated to the sex trade?
You can have an sex orgy with a buffet but don’t dare charge for it.... right.... we are a screwed up country....
no, no,no........ all businesses must comply with county registration requirements and if necessary state requirements .
She was a fool for not taking the plea bargain. she can trade or give the stuff away but once she goes in business, she is subject to the law.
