We have alot of voters in San Antonio who do not have photo IDs..they sign an affidavit explaining why they don’t have one and can then use several different sources..electric bill in their name, etc. We had to explain this time and again to minorities when we were working get out the vote here..so many thought they could not vote because they did not have photo ID

how do they et their welfare with no photo id??

If the government is so concerned then why dont they have an ID program in place for people?

It would be bette to help people have an ID then complain we have to accomodate everyone who doesn;t have one. You need an ID for almost everything.

You ask good questions....the state of Texas made these rules..you would have to ask them...do not assume these people are on welfare. Many are working poor..they do not ask for assistance. And I agree...they should have an ID program available.

If they are "working poor" they should have an ID anyway. You pretty much have to have an ID to be legally employed these days. I know I had to provide identification last time I changed jobs. Personally, I suspect just about anyone without a valid ID is an illegal or other criminal. They should be required to provide proof of residence, birth certificate, and a social security card to vote. The names on all 3 should also be the same.
