I expect nothing out of this but not for the ressons you state. While it is true that the PC serves at the pleasure of the mayor, the Manhattan DA does not. The Weiner computer was found in their residence in Manhattan. It would be in the possession ofvthe NYPD but at the beck and call of the DA. If any evidence, child porn, is found or has been found the Manhattan DA , Cy Vance, will make the call about going to a Grand Jury. DeBlasio can opine, but he has no say. But the only matter to consider is ifvthe computer shows criminal activity that took place in Manhattan. The legality of the Clinton emails, their contents are not relevant to the DA unless they dhow evidence of a NY crime. Only one going down wwill be Weiner. Sorry but that’s the way it works.

Sounds like you know something about the internal workings of the various agencies involved. That said nothing of this story on its face makes any sense. For example, why would Comey reopen email question in the last weeks of the campaign if his agents were not telling him there were some really damning stuff on them. After all the NYPD had the files in their possession for at least a month. So they knew something when they handed over copies to the FBI—that they must have passed on.
