I agree with you, too many false assumptions are being made about early voting. The numbers we are seeing are only a reflection of how voters are registered. It is not a correlation to how they are actually voting.

For example, in Nevada, there are more registered Democrats than registered Republicans. So it stands to reason we will see more Democrats in early voting than Republicans. Yet some are hitting the panic button over this. They do not take into consideration that many more Democrats may be voting for Trump than vice versa, thus negating the apparent Democrat lead. Then you have a sizable number of Independents, who could well be going for Trump by a 70-30 ratio.

The turnout on Tuesday will be the indicator. If we hear that there are long lines all across the nation, then we can interpret that as a very good sign for Trump. I believe the monster vote is out there.

As a Nevadan who has worked on campaigns,the real wild card is Indies. A lot of “Bundy Ranch” Repubs flipped to Indie.
