Minnesota is just ...different....the iron range area might elect a republican for the first time in a long time.....they elected that wrestler guy as governor and a comedian to the senate. They like non traditional types over there. I’ll bet good money Trump has a better chance there than here in Wisconsin.

I would have written Minnesota off a long time ago, but the more I look at it the more I wonder if Trump can pull a major upset there.

Middle-class Democrats are probably up in arms over the flood of Muslim immigrants, and they have a reputation for electing wacky characters there (see Jesse Ventura and Al Franken, for example).

The poll numbers up in that 8th Congressional district have been startling. A couple of weeks ago they showed a 12-point lead for a GOP challenger in a district that has been held by Democrats for something like 54 of the last 56 years. And while that rural district will be overwhelmed by the Twin Cities in a statewide race, there's something about it that really has the Democrats on edge. I read somewhere that they were pouring more money into the MN-8 race than in any other House race in the country.
