Why do you think the nation's capital is located where Washington is right now? Who do you think owned all of the real estate the Federal government had to buy when it was established?

There were many owners of the land and the bulk of it was not Washington’s. Since you seem to be in the know on this, would you please detail how much land he sold and how much profit he made from the sale?
