Emails released by the State Department over the past 18 months show that Huma Abedin frequently handled classified information — suggesting a major reason why the FBI has been eager to get a full look at the personal computer she shared with her now-estranged husband.
That computer has become the center of a major political flap in the final week before Election Day. Ms. Abedin’s boss, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is trying to fend off concerns that there is a smoking gun still to be found among her top personal aide’s messages.

Loretta Lynch shut the FBI down on the “trafficking in classified e-mails” investigation by brazenly giving “immunity” to Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson, Hillary’s aides, and allowing devices to be destroyed. Lynch put a lot of evidence under immunity or allowed it to disappear.
But it seems the FBI had another source - Weiner’s devices, and they already had allowances to investigate him for child-porn. Now they can search for both Clinton Foundation and classified emails on his computers.
Its both too late in the game, and also too obviously political, for Lynch (or Obama) to shut Comey down on this angle of his investigation.
