Going by history, I think you’ve got a reasoned point to make there.
This time, I think it’s different. There’s just too much corruption and I think the powers that be know there needs to be the perception that justice was served.
So guess who’s going to be thrown under the bus now.

This government, even in a corrupted state, needs to keep up the pretense of law and order. That’s the only way they can go back to doing stuff behind the scenes again.
