PERRY HALL, Md. - Maryland broke a record for the number of people who voted early in a general election.
This comes as thousands of people continue to pour into polling places across the state. One political science professor said he thinks he has an idea as to why.
At about noon on Monday, the state board of elections says they broke the record when 430,574 voted early.
"Hillary Clinton is not the force that's driving this right now. It's about the unknown," Tony Campbell, a political science professor at Towson University, said.
He calls it a gut feeling.
"I think the centerpiece of that is the outsider, kind of. Either the folks that are showing up are there to support Trump or they're there because they're afraid of Trump," Campbell said.
The record-breaking thousands of voters casting their ballot early.
People have waiting in line for up to an hour trying to turn in their vote.

don’t reckon the crook counted Maryland as a battleground state.....
The Peoples’ Republic of Maryland appears to be worried about losing their free ride.
Wouldn’t it be sweet if Sissy-Maryland went for Trump?
Oh, yeah...Donald Trump...booga, booga!! What a tool.
Notice there is no apples to apples comparison of early voting party registration vs. 2012.
They are hiding the ball....
There is very little prospect of Trump winning Maryland. I almost wrote “no prospect,” but I don’t like being wrong. So for the record it’s “very little.” If Trump wins Maryland, it’s because he took at least 45 other states too.
“showing up are there to support Trump or they’re there because they’re afraid of Trump,” Campbell said.” . . .
Or, They are terrified of the lying, evil Bitch.”
It seems very unusual for them to pour out in “record numbers” for a candidate from a party they always vote for, and against someone that isnt even running ads there.
I keep thinking back to Reagan’s re-election, where the whole country except Minnesota went for him.
They’ve expanded the number of early voting locations from 8 to 20 and extended hours. Don’t count on this meaning Maryland is in play
We were going for the win when I signed on. But I’ll take a good showing and good phone bank support of the battleground states.

Maryland for Trump
Prince George’s County Chairman
If Ronald Reagan ran against Clinton in 1984, he would have taken all 50 states, plus most of the countries of Europe and even Iron Curtain countries where you can’t vote.
But it’s a different country now, that a major political party can even put a corrupt criminal like Hillary Clinton on the ballot and have the media support her unconditionally.
FLASHBACK to 2014 Maryland governor’s race which Larry Hogan Won by 3.9%:
“Based on polling averages [as of Nov. 4] Brown is leading Hogan by 9.8 percent a number that has increased by 0.1 percent since Monday, according to FiveThirtyEight.”

On our way to a soccer game, 30 min drive, Trump 13, Clinton 0, Sanders 1.
On our way to a show, MD and Virginia ... Trump 16, Clinton 4 (all 4 in Va).
Maryland generally goes democrat because of the large black vote in Baltimore City (not County, which is larger, and leans Republican — usually), and the massive black vote in PG County. They also pick up a lot of extra votes in Montgomery County.
If it is true, that AA turnout is down ~20%, and Trump is picking up 15+% of the remaining AA turnout, then Maryland becomes competitive. Remember, most of the rest of the state is Republican, and the Democrats are completely dependent upon that huge AA vote. Montgomery County, combined with a less-than-normal AA vote differential, is not enough to win the state, at least not with any certainty.
There is information, but you have to go to the gov website: In 2012, 13.94% of eligible D’s voted early, 9.31% of R’s,
So far, in 2016: 15.47 of D’s, 10.75 of R’s.
So D’s are up by 10.9% versus 2012 and R’s are up by 15.5%.
The blacks will vote. The machines will say they did.
Lots of Vote fraud.
As much as they’ve tried to make Trump this big bad bogey man, the fact is for years they’ve seen him on TV. They know him. They respect his business acumen.
