Perfect eggs, bacon and French Toast...
Good locations. I wonder how they will cross over to the neighboring states like Minnesota and NJ? Hillary’s support is soft and not enthusiastic.
You are welcome Gran. Good morning. A chilly one here. 31 degrees. Brrr!
Delish. Nice and hot please.
The story is they stole two horses the white one and another. (Supposidly for stew). Two of my favorite possessions is that picture with grandma Kassiah Mathias (was suppose to be named after her but dad had other ideas ) I also have a rolling pin that Louis Mathias, their father made for my grandmothers tenth birthday. I feel very close to these ancestors
This Dumb@ss Karl Rove is predicting a big Clinton win. Why? He says, Trump is making a Politics 101 blunder. He should be in Florida.
I’m thinking, maybe in the days before the internet, that might be true, but as the National polls come in showing Trump rising, like the tide he will rise elsewhere.
So, what he’s been doing has been a stroke of genius. Going to these little places, and treasured places, where there’s huge enthusiasm for him. People see it on TV and want to be part of it.
For most Americans, I would think they would stay home before voting for Hillary Clinton. She is that bad. She was that bad in 2008, she’s ten times worse now.
I cannot see how the polls have her up. No way, no how. No way no how.
I live in LaGrange, GA named after Lafayette's Chateau in France. There's a huge statue of him in the square.
I’m with you Nikos, been saying for ages I think Trump is a genius. He’s going to win! And I refuse to believe our vote is not big enough to overcome the “Clinton Machine” I pray every day!
Yes, that is chilly...burrrrr indeed!
We are experiencing a heat wave here in the SW.
Usually it would be in the low 40s but we are having low 50 mornings and low 70 afternoons.
Been really quite nice.

A perfect breakfast!
Good morning,Nikos!
Valley Forge—how appropriate.
Where our nation was forged in a crucible, the valley of despair.
The cold winter of desperation and doubt, of want and need.
But we had true leadership with General George Washington.
He was a man of exemplary faith and character, a true gift of God to a nation that was struggling to be born against all odds.
How much we owe to him and to all those unnamed men who stayed with him that winter, determined to make a new nation.
On June 28, 1778, nine days after leaving Valley Forge, Washington and his men would engage the British and defeat them at the Battle of Monmouth, and America would continue to its destiny, culminating in the victory of the Battle of Yorktown on October 19, 1781, over three years later.
But in that cruel winter at Valley Forge, none of that could be imagined. Amidst the daily struggle for survival, no one could imagine what was yet to be.
Almost 240 years later, we are about to enter another winter of momentous decision that will chart the course of America.
God has given us another leader for such a time as this in Donald Trump.
Like Washington, Trump has risked his reputation, his personal safety and his fortune for his country.
A week from now, the American people must choose a leader, and with each candidate comes a different path they will follow.
May we choose wisely.
Do you know who Louis Kossuth was? We have a Kossuth near here!
Many received land grants as their reward for fighting in the war. They named their communities after their heros.
A cemetary near here has an Edwards who was the drummer at Valley Forge. I taught with some of his ancestors which was cool knowing our ancestors knew each other.
Land where our fathers died
Land of the pilgrims pride
From every mountainside
Let Freedom ring!
Yes regarding the Valley Forge event: it is private, according to the hotel. Also, the web page has no link for “get tickets.”
Wonderful. I have an aunt who has traced my maternal side back to the 1600s. Very interesting.
My ancestors 5’ 7-9
Not leaders just poor rebellious German dirt farmers!
Other grandpa served at Fort Pitt, Michael Sanior. They both signed the Bradford Accord before the Declaration of Independence !
Good morning Trump Family. Am very proud to say that while doing genealogy, I discovered a paternal (g) grandfather and his brother both served, and survived, at Valley Forge. I have a copy of their muster rolls.
