Could be, but ethically, they can't leak anyway. The best they can do is whisleblow, and that has no value in this case because Comey has been right up front with the public and with Congress about his illogic (inserting "intent" to this particular law). He has also gien enough information about the evidence to allow a reasoned analysis. We can take his word about how many of the e-mails were marked classified, and Congress has all of them available for viewing. Not that the exact contents matter much, the difference of opinion is over the crime of mishandling classified information.
At any rate, the investigators aren't stupid about the law. Nothing Comey said in his Friday dump makes up any ground. It is a nonsense announcement. "Hey everybody, maybe there is some evidence over here relating to Crooked's private server. If there is, we'll look at it and deal with it."
FOX CNNews has not looked at the latest polls and are pushing the narrative the election is over. Why not report the news rather than repeat the echo chamber as if it is fact.
