According to the New Yorker, "Comey’s decision to make public new evidence that may raise additional legal questions about Clinton was contrary to the views of the Attorney General, according to a well-informed Administration official. Lynch expressed her preference that Comey follow the department’s longstanding practice of not commenting on ongoing investigations, and not taking any action that could influence the outcome of an election, but he said that he felt compelled to do otherwise."
Traditionally, the Justice Department has advised prosecutors and law enforcement to avoid any appearance of meddling in the outcome of elections, even if it means holding off on pressing cases. One former senior official recalled that Janet Reno, the Attorney General under Bill Clinton, “completely shut down” the prosecution of a politically sensitive criminal target prior to an election. “She was adamant—anything that could influence the election had to go dark,” the former official said.

No sources named. To me, this entire event reeks of ginning up a distraction. Puzzling though, because on the surface it cuts against Crooked. Maybe they really think people are tired of the private server issue. The DEMs are tired of it, old news, nothing to see, etc.
Comey doesn’t work for Lynch. He works for BO. I believe Comey would have to be impeached.
Traditionally the elite have corrupted the system to protect themselves. That does not make it right.
If the FBI finds something Lynch won’t prosecute anyway.
Tarring and feathering is one corm of lynching or a part of a lynching. Lynching means extrajudicial severe punishment by a group or the community. Many think it means extralegal “hanging” as in all those 50s cowboy movies.

I believe the FBI was involved in investigation because he sex texted child in another state. Still could be NY FBI agents who obtained them.
If there was no classified info why would they have turned it over to the FBI?

One reason other than the classified info is, the NYPD seized Wiener’s computer to investigate his sex crimes. As soon as they discovered that Wiener’s victim was in North Carolina, they knew that it was a federal crime and turned it over to the F.B.I.
The F.B.I., Knowing that the NYPD most certainly knew about the classified emails and would not keep quiet about it, had no choice but to make a public announcement, to cover their own asses.
Maybe he was blackmailed......and it fell apart due to the NYPD.

What is “unprecedented” is such an action to damage a Democrat prior to an election. That is the unforgivable thing. Using it to take down a Republican is, well, de rigueur as the Republicans are wholly illegitimate and should not even be involved in the political process.
There is no pre-conviction pardon. The power is the power of Clemency. We will see obama move the day after the election — either way to grant her Clemency. I think that is his legal right. He will live with that legacy because he has no other legacy. His health care ( with not even 1 Republican vote and passed on Christmas even in flagrant abusive disregard of Christianity) is in total shambles . He has nothing else except the first half black to be president.

Truthfully, I don't think so. Comey has been with the Clinton Crime Family since Whitewater. He lost his conscience a loooong time ago.
Half the people Clinton and her team gave all these emails to didn’t have clearance. And even if they had a low level clearance they didn’t have it for some of the emails. That’s not it.
