Yo radu!

Is it Friday already? Sheesh, weekdays seem to go by slower than weekends for me.

Not much happening my way, we had a fair weather opening so I blew and raked a few more leaves up before the rains start again.

How wuz your day?

THE ROCHES: “IT’S BAD FOR ME”

This a capella act from New Jersey made a splash in the late Seventies, and this is a real eye-opener.

Howdy, PRO!

Yep, the weekend is here already, though this week seemed to drag by more than usual. Not sure why. It wasn't a bad week, just a long one.

Had some nice weather up there, did ya? Cool! Won't be much longer til we're all complaining about it being too cold. LOL!
We've been pretty toasty down here this week and next week will be the same. And the dry weather continues as well. :-(

Cool image! I stole borrowed it :-)
And this is THE Radu Vladislas ....

He's one of the creepiest vampires out there. Meaner 'n a snake too.

Howdy, LUV!

It was a decent night out. It’s the last night we’ll go to our usual hangout for a while though. Someone bought the building so the bar owner is moving to a new location. It’ll be a couple of months before he has the new place ready.

This recording is from the London revival of 1989. She really shows off her range and her coloratura style!

COLE PORTER: “THE COCOTTE”

In 1934, Cole sat down at the piano and put a number of his songs on shellac. This gives you an idea of what he sounded like and captures his sense of humor. You can hear the influence of Gilbert & Sullivan. If you listen carefully, you’ll realize that this is a song about a hooker who is well past her expiration date.
