Trump Helps Family Of Pastor Held In Iranian Prison

Iranian-American Pastor Saeed Abedini has recently come forward to show his gratitude and support for Donald Trump in this upcoming election.
While the pastor from Boise, Idaho was stuck in a Iranian prison for three and a half years simply because of his faith, Donald Trump gave Abedini’s family $10,000 to help provide for his family in need.
In a Facebook post on Sunday Abedini wrote “I am finally free in a free country. Last year on the same day I was sick and in chains for Christ, and now I can vote to choose my next president.”
Thank you Edie. Wow, to be only 56 and the oldest surviving member of your family is really something and somewhat unfortunate for you (I always enjoyed hearing stories from older family members). You’ve had a lot of relatives who passed rather closely together, just like we have. And, you’re right, it is strange how closely their birthdays and passing are so close together. That reminded me of a great uncle that passed just days shy of his 100th birthday.
When my mom passed expectantly in 2001, outside of support of family and friends, the main thing that got me through it was to keep thinking and saying, it’s not in my hands, God had a plan for her like he does for everyone and this was his plan.
When my son attended his first funeral (my grandmother) he was just twelve. His comment that he thought funerals were suppose to be sad started a life long conversation of celebration for my elders. We spend as much time as we can making memories and then celebrating them.
Our family is a family of faith although the churches they chose are varied
We respect each choice and respect each difference
There have been many trials but we remember love wins !
Hi Miss D - good on you! I bet it felt great!!! I really miss going to the polling place - it’s all vote by mail here and I hate it. I need to fill out my ballot - need to do a bit more research on the judges and propositions. I’ll wear my MAGA when I fill out my ballot and I plan on taking it to one of the “lock boxes” for ballots - I don’t trust the mail.

I was very lucky in that my first funeral wasn’t until I was 17 (grandfather). Of course many cried at the rosary and at the burial. Then we all went back to my grandparents house and the drinks and food flowed (Slavic family) and music started and some dancing was done. My aunt was like my 2nd mother and her husband was my Godfather. Their 3 sons are considered like brothers by my sister and I. We have a variety of faiths in our family, too. I think (hope), this will be more of a celebration of life. You’re right - love wins!!
