Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber joined CNN on Wednesday morning to say the best way to fix the failing health-care law he engineered would be to increase the “penalty.”
A recent study found that Obamacare insurance plans will cost many Americans about 22 percent more next year. For some — like those in Phoenix, Arizona — the cost is much worse, about a 145 percent increase. Since the news broke earlier this week, the Obama administration has frantically been trying to spin the news.

Please keep in mind that citizens can have “government” healthcare if they want it. But in the case of unconstitutional federal Obamacare, the corrupt Washington cartel wrongly ignored that the Constitution does not say “yes” or “no” to things like government healthcare. What the Founding States had intended for the Constitution to indicate about healthcare, and many other things that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly address, is the following.
The Founding States had made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitution’s silence about issues like healthcare means that the states, not the federal government, automatically and uniquely have the constitutional authority to regulate, tax and spend for things like INTRAstate healthcare.
In fact, using broad language, previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified limits on the fed’s power to regulate, tax and spend as follows. This is evidenced by the excerpts from Supreme Court case opinions below.
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.
With the excerpts above in mind, consider that lawless Obama’s state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices wrongly ignored that previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of INTRAstate healthcare.

So what unconstitutional Obamacare actually did was to show how corrupt all three branches of the unconstitutionally big federal government are, the feds wrongly not securing the required consent of the Constitution’s Article V state supermajority before establishing Obamacare.

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs as evidenced by unconstitutional Obamacare.
Again, the states have always had the 10th Amendment-protected state power to establish their own healthcare programs, depending on what the legal majority voters of a given state want.
Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

I’ve never watched Seth Meyers (?) and never will again, but he dedicated his monologue to attacking Trump and lecturing on why ZEROcare only affects those who opt to purchase it, and if their premium goes up, so does their subsidy.
Most of us, you see, have employer paid insurance or Medicare and are not affected at all by the upcoming hikes.

When somebody keeps hitting you with a bigger hammer, the important thing is to force them to stop. It does not need to be any more complicated than that.
"Obamacare" must be immediately and completely repealed.
If you really want follow-on measures you could also repeal the Drug Re-importation Acts and the price-fixing that they enable. Prescription medicines that are made in America and retail for $300 per unit here are exported and can be purchased in Europe and Asia for $20-$60 per unit. And many such items are non-prescription over there. But you are not allowed to bring them back into this country. That's a racket that must be stopped.
Existing Anti-Trust laws apply to the entire Health Care Industry. They must be enforced. And executives who violate those laws must be jailed.
Pricing for medical procedures must be posted before service and must be the same price for everybody. That is actually what existing "Consumer Protection" laws require. Let's enforce them.
Insurance companies commonly get 50% or greater discounts on billing, simply by stalling the providers for payment. Such discounts are not available to patients who pay cash. This is insane - and also illegal discriminatory pricing.

I understand I am in the minority on this issue. I thank the site operator for not banishing me, for saying so. I completely agree with everything the GOP stands for, and I am extremely supportive of every single issue which Donald Trump has stood for.
Except this one. I think we need to simply provide care, to everyone.

The system we had was set up to benefit the insurance companies because it was illegal to buy insurance across state lines. Just making all insurance competitive and legal for purchase anywhere would go a long way to making insurance companies have to treat customers much better and with lower rates.

What was so terribly wrong with health care back in the '60's (beyond, perhaps, some poor people not knowing where to go for financial help, which was then relatively inexpensive for charities and so on to give)?
I'll add 4 more suggestion: Graduate a lot more doctors, effect reasonable tort reform, greatly expand MSA's, and somehow get the providers to "get with it" regarding medical records. My Dad was recently first in the local hospital's ER, and then admitted for continued treatment & tests. I went through the "interview" process of supplying my Dad's medical history FOUR times. WTF?!! For one thing, once the hospital had that history the 1st time, do they not have networked computers? Even worse, I had supplied the name & office of my Dad's PCP, who of course has far better / more detailed information. Once I give permission for my Dr. to release my Dad's information (I have POA for Health for my Dad), why in God's name should it take more than 2 minutes for the hospital to obtain my Dad's full records?
I almost felt like "Bones" in Star Trek 4, disparaging the medieval records technology (only slightly countered by the cool Trek-like thermometer they could just wave over my Dad's forehead.)

and lest we forget, the gop owns obamacare lock stock and barrel since they funded it to the hilt (and they didn’t have to).
