"Can yall imagine what would happen if a gang of 30 white teens beat up on some black college students at Spellman or Howard?"
This has gone on too long. When the media fail to honestly report this kind of thing, over and over, THEY BECOME COMPLICIT IN THE VIOLENCE.
Journalistic reply: "Sputter sputter . . . that's an outrage! That's a lie! How can you say such a thing?"
Me, to journalist: "I'm just applying the same standard that YOU apply to conservatives, Christians, and Republicans, who must ever and always explicitly denounce any perceived wrong committed by one of their own, no matter how insignificant the offender might be, and however remote the offender's relationship is to the person who is being asked to denounce or apologize for the offensive act."

Rule #2 is being used...
Twenty-Five Rules of Disinformation
1. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Regardless of what you know, don't discuss it -- especially if you are a public figure, news anchor, etc. If it's not reported, it didn't happen, and you never have to deal with the issues.
2. Become incredulous and indignant. Avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. This is also known as the 'How dare you!' gambit.
