I do not know why any sane person would attend Temple University. I drove through the ghetto where LaSalle University is and no way in hell I would let my kids go there too.
You just explained why they sometimes condemn properties, level them, and bring in new development.
Sadly some prominent universities are located in bad neighborhoods. I would not be comfortable sending my children to some urban universities. Its got to be a constant struggle to keep the ghetto at bay in these places; to keep the ghetto dwellers off the campus.
