First it was Comcast that wasn’t approved to purchase Time Warner. Then we recently had Spectrum buy Time Warner. Now AT&T is taking over? I wonder if this was all in the works before Spectrum even bought Time Warner. Maybe that’s why they haven’t changed the logos on any of their cable trucks.

Time Warner Cable was spun off from Time Warner in 2009. Comcast tried to buy Time Warner Cable in 2014. The DOJ threatened to sue them for antitrust violations so Comcasr withdrew their offer. Then Charter Communications bought TWC and is renaming the combined company Spectrum so that people forget just how much they hate both companies.

AT&T is buying the rest of Time Warner, not Time Warner Cable.

Aren’t Time Warner Cable and Time Warner different corporate entities?
