1. Call a Black person articulate.
Instead: Because of a long history of oppression, degradation, and dismissal of the talent and skills of Black people, understand that such a statement coming from a white person is often construed, and meant, as meaning articulate-ness is something unusual in a Black person.
2. Say one of my best friends is [black, Latino, person of color, etc.].
Instead: Ask yourself first: Do you know where that person shops for groceries? Where they go to church? Where they get their hair cut? What their childrens/granchildrens names are? Have you ever been to their home? These are the things you know about a best friend.
3. Say that the success of [Oprah, Bill Cosby, Michael Jordan, etc.] show that theres no longer any racism.
Instead: Ask yourself about Madame CJ Walker. She was a millionaire, the first black millionaire, in the early part of the 20th century. Lynchings were still going on. No one would say things were equal then, but she was a famous millionaire. The real question is how many more people like Oprah etc would there be if there were equality?
4. Say that if anyone works hard they will get ahead.
Instead: Understand and accept that this is one of the operative myths of our culture: the meritocracy. Any comparative statistic of all the socio-economic indicators shows that structural inequality is the reality. A lot of people who are working hard are not getting ahead.
5. Say that it doesnt matter what color Jesus was, it matters what Jesus did, while insisting that pictures of him must be white.
Instead: Consider that if it really didnt matter to you, we could make him Black.

Should we start a list of the top 300 stupid things blacks do and what they should do instead?
Or perhaps a list of suicidal things self-hating, castrated whites do?
1. Call a Black person articulate.
Biden!
and clean....don’t forget the clean...
If it’s coming out of Baltimore .. I don’t pay attention to anything they say. When you have a city govt that is so eager to get a conviction, you charge 3 officers with offences they did not do .. YOUR CREDIBILITY HAS NO CREDIBILITY LEFT.
I can “not give a wet fart.”
Since that is what I do already, it won’t be a big stretch.
Answers for my actual best friend. No. Yes. No. Yes. Yes. So I'm 3/5 even for him.
For a site that calls itself “anti-racist”, all they do is tout racism.
A couple of the points are valid.
I saw Condi Rice introduced as “articulate” at some Republican event. Cringeworthy.
So what? She is articulate. She’s also a Rat. I don’t see the problem.
I guess working hard to get ahead is anathema to them.
How many times are white people called articulate? I think this is a legitimate one. But it’s not because it’s racist, it’s because the truth is a lot of black people use ebonics and regular white people can’t understand them.
Instead: Ask yourself why you didnt invent the atom bomb.
Should I point out to this guy that normally 10 follows 9?
And yes I did develop the atom bomb, I just did not want to brag.
Seriously, why is this being posted?
Are you familiar with Baltimore, the murder capital? Where their ex mayor had about as much credibility as the ex DC Mayor. Did you know Dixon was running again after the theft from her own low income residents.
Please take this trash of an article out of here.
Why can’t people just be people? It sounds like somebody can’t handle their guilt and are magnifying the differences between people thereby making conciliation more difficult.
Wow, what a dump-truck sized load of crap! For some strange reason, I’m starting to feel oppressed, and I’m so white I’m almost blue...
I didn’t invent the atomic bomb because it was invented 12 years before I was born, among other reasons.
Is it ok to say “my daughter in law and one of my grandchildren is black?” I know all those answers.
Stupidest thing white people do is interact with liberals of all races.
That’s an uppity list of demands.
“Thats an uppity list of demands.”
Heh heh heh.
