There's a simple reason why scandals involving Democrat politicians and candidates rarely generate outrage.

There are many voters in this country who are perfectly comfortable with a corrupt -- even diabolical -- government.

Yes, and plenty of people who are OK with ends-justify-the-means if they are in agreement with the ends.

This is not something new. In former Soviet states there were many people willing to go along with ends-justify-the-means tactics because they truly believed in communism. They would ‘denounce’ their family, friends, neighbors etc. if they thought it would further the ends.

So to in Germany pre WWII. People may not have liked all that was going on, but they believed in the larger cause and therefore either kept quiet or went along with it.

I call this the Stasi mentality. It may well be part of human nature, though I hate to think that.

For example: Many people may be uneasy about the violence and denouncement of masses of people ‘racists’ on the right ... but they turn a blind eye to it because they think it helps their side in the overall.
