Not.
Gonna.
Happen.
I agree. OMG, can you see, the same award they gave to those two liberal scum reporters Woodward and Bernstein, having to give that to O’Keefe???
Hear that spinning sound...:)
Like a lot of people, I can stay informed without being spoon fed what someone wants me to know. I can look at disparate sources of information and use my own intellect to sort out the wheat from the chaff.
Roger that!
As you likely know, it takes time and effort, and when you are occasionally wrong, you have to accept it as your own shortcoming instead of saying “That’s what Dan Rather said!”
Plus, it is disheartening to know that you can research the bejeezus out of an issue and make an intelligent determination, and have your vote cancelled out by a crack whore.
And have your vote cancelled by a DEAD crack whore.
Sure they did!
Why do you think CNN calls him a discredited felon without mentioning they mean he plead guilty to what was essentially trespassing?
"Hahahaha! Not only do we recruit legions of intellectual zombies to counteract their votes, if they die because of our liberal policies, we STILL get to use them to counteract their votes! BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE DO! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
And, as we have seen, true or not, it simply allows them to buy more time, obfuscate, obscure, filibuster, etc.
Which is what they want to do anyway, because if you make them talk about the video itself and its content...they can’t deny what it is. (Though I did hear one significant source in the Democratic Party say “These were conceptual conversations”.
Really. They DID say that.
Like he's a "felon" for trespassing?
I have a real problem with these supposed “conservatives” carrying water for the left.
They repeat rat talking points such as O’Keefe “faked” videos because he pretended to be a pimp, he “doctored” videos because he edited them (like muslims say Christians and Jews “corrupted” the Scriptures), and he’s “discredited” because all the media endlessly preach the first two points without ever mentioning “why” they call O’Keefe names.
It’s not dying, it’s dead. Like every other “story” about political corruption in the post Nixon world the audience can be divided into two groups: those who already suspected stuff like this, and those that don’t care. Subsequently these kinds of things don’t generate much splash anymore.
I don’t know. I think there would be a large number of people who simply don’t believe or want to believe this could be going on.
As I said, if I felt the way you described in your post, I would fully believe our country is past saving. And I can’t bring myself to that point yet.
That’s not to say I don’t feel that way on occasion, because I sure do.
I feel the same way. It is as if (as if!) they don’t want to stop getting the invites to the parties in the Hamptons...
Using the terminology of our enemies NEVER helps our cause. Their job (and apparently, yours) is to obfuscate: not elaborate.
I think these particular "mouth whores" are selling for MUCH less than Hamptons parties....
Don’t believe is basically the same as don’t care.
Corruption happens. It’s a long tradition in politics. Since Watergate more people acknowledge it, but it goes back to the early days. The Daley Machine, Tammany Hall. It’s just how things work.
We differ on this.
And I do think if someone doesn’t believe something, it doesn’t mean they don’t care, IMO. Sometimes, people can’t bring themselves to believe something, and I think that is an element of human nature in some people. They may care deeply about something but cannot face the truth. (That is what I am referring to)
I see a distinct difference in outlook, morals, behavior and beliefs in conservatives vs. liberals, and I don’t think both are the same. (Though I do believe in elements of the “Uniparty” theory as some here call it. I find it hard to distinguish the difference between Republicans who toe the line on leftist policies (those we call RINO) and the Democrats who propose the policies in the first place.)
The foundations of what we see in American leftist politics of the last 50 years has more (historically speaking) in common with the Soviet Union than it does with America, in my opinion.
True. This is last test. If Trump doesn’t win, no Republican will win again anytime soon.
Often times when people don’t believe in something it’s because they just aren’t interested in finding out about it. On the political corruption front they’ve picked their side and have no interest in information that goes against it.
There’s plenty of folks on the conservative side that don’t listen to anything about GOP corruption, or when they do they write off those participating as RINOs and move on. It’s an inherent problem in the way we choose sides politically. Many people see their political affiliation as basically the same as their sports affiliation, this is their team, these are their guys, and they remain loyal. Just look at how many conservatives love Joe Arpaio even though he’s clearly corrupt, but he investigated Obama’s birth certificate so they love him. Look how many conservatives loved Jan Brewer for rubberstamping a couple of bills from the state legislature completely ignoring the fact that she was a tax and spend liberal, but she yelled at Obama so they loved her.
Party politics creates an environment that not only encourages corruption, but encourages not looking too closely at your side.
