Romney got rave reviews for his performance, but all I could think while he spoke was “look at them all laughing together... he’s one of them”!

I HATE these elitist dinners. And Republicans never learn. THEY HATE YOU, DONALD. I did love how he pointed out that they loved him when he was a Democrat New York Billionaire. Now as a Republican? NOT SO MUCH.
She seemed to clap more for Hillary than Trump, odd.
Significantly, it wasn’t the whole crowd but a gang that seemed at a fairly distant table. I would take a wild stab and say Carville was one of them.
It wasn’t snark. It was carefully planned. If he hadn’t gone over the edge for this event, it wouldn’t have been news.
Also he gave the impression, to me anyway, that he considers matters to be too grave for a joking, fun evening. This is serious, people, our last chance, has been his mantra all along.
