During Wednesday's debate, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton made a rather curious claim about the District of Columbia v. Heller Supreme Court case: D.C. was merely trying to "protect toddlers," and the Supreme Court didn't accept the "reasonable regulation."
Just one small issue: that's not at all what Heller was concerned with. Prior to the Heller decision, the District of Columbia's restrictions on handguns weren't what anyone would call "reasonable." The Firearms Control Regulations Act of 1975 was a complete and total ban on the private ownership of handguns--even by trained police officers and by people with a legitimate need for self defense. "Toddlers" had nothing to do with it. The law in D.C. also required that guns had to be stored with trigger locks or completely disassembled. The Supreme Court ruled that both of these provisions were in violation of the Second Amendment.
Even the Associated Press called out Hillary for how badly she messed that one up:
For what it's worth, crime in D.C. was not reduced even with the passage of the Firearms Control Regulations Act of 1975. About a decade after the city enacted gun laws, the total number of murders climbed from 188 to 369, making D.C. one of the most dangerous cities in the country.

But you notice that the other “sack,” Chris “The Carp” Wallace didn’t really follow up with her! Faux News is now completely dead to me, and I just hope that somewhere down the line Lou Dobbs finds a real “fair and balanced” network to work at. He’s the only journalist in the place. Oh, throw in Judge Jeanine, she’s also a star.

Violent crime in any city is determined in direct relation to the number of black males 14-30 years of age. Reducing or adding to that number is the only thing that has any effect.
It is telling that even the AP is calling out her lies now.
“No matter how inept and inadequate the DC gun ordinances were in regards to actually controlling “gun violence”.”
Actually, they wern’t “inept” if you go to the real premise on which they were predicated. Gun violence isn’t now, nor was it then the “issue.” Getting rid of the Second Amendement was their real goal. Making “ the people” truly subservient to the ruling class is the aim.
“And her claim of 33,000 gun deaths per year?”
But Trump didn’t call her out on it, so it stands as fact to voters.
Oh I know, but the average viewer will equate 33,000 gun deaths with murders. That is what they want people to hear, in this context anyway.
Clinton’s a real Mother Terresa when it comes to children, except for supporting the murder of over 60,000,000 children ripped out of the womb. She will have to answer to God for that.

Lowered mag capacity or assault weapon bans have never prevented suicide or accidents. Hillary is all bunk regulation unrelated to real issue, precisely a lie.
She fooled no one who was actually pro-2nd Amendment; we all know what “reasonable restrictions” turn into in the hands of bureaucrats and lobbying groups.
At the same time, she didn’t do any favors for herself with her gun grabbing friends either, with the claim she supports 2A.

Then he would end his speech with...”To protect our Children!”
Hillary now wants power to “protect toddlers”.

16,000 total gun homicides - both justified (including by police) and not justified

As far back as DRED SCOT vs SANDFORD, the SCOTUS declared that one of the RIGHTS black citizens would have was “to keep and carry arms wherever they went!”
So the right to keep and bear arms was not just for the militia, but a right ALL FREE PEOPLE had at that time.
